This feeder was reliable and held a good amount of food. What I really loved was that it tells you when the food was running low. Unfortunately it only lasted me about 11 months. I purchased Oct 2023 and as of this week it no longer works.

works exactly as intended! it takes a bit to learn out how to set up the times to feed but once you figure it out its great. Ive got a very busy and irregular schedule so this is a great solution to make sure my little evil boy gets fed regularly. it has also stopped him from waking me up at random times during the night asking for food because it can dispense a small amount of food throughout the night for when he gets the munchies. portion sizes are pretty small even for a regular cat so unless you want to give them a little snack more than 1 portion sizes is probably needed. hasnt missed a feeding time since i bought it (about 3 months now) ... show more

    • Bought 3 of these: feeding works great but clocks don't stay synced and are a pain to reset.
My cats quickly adapted to their little robot feeders, and initial set up wasn't that difficult. However, the clocks don't maintain their times, and one of the feeders keeps slowing down relative to the others. I reset them a couple of weeks ago and they were distributing food maybe a second apart. Within two weeks, one is 13 seconds slower than the others. While that's not a huge amount of time to us, for my littlest cat--who always gets shoved aside by her brothers and has to wait for the 3rd feeder to go off--it's terrible. Resetting the clocks is a HUGE pain, because the button that the instructions say to use to "end" the setup process just sends you to the setup for the next scheduled feeding time. Once you have the feeding schedule set, there is no way to "end" the setup process manually. So the only way to really see if the clocks are synced is to wait for the screens to time out and then watch each clock. I'm probably going to toss these and try to find feeders that can be set up via WiFi, or that at least have the option to quickly set and reset the clocks. ... show more

This is a great no frills auto cat feeder. I ordered it to use while we are on vacation. Some of the other reviews said it was hard to program but I read the directions and had no problem at all. I did find the the recommended servings to be a little off but I just used the manual feed button to figure measure out the exact quantity my cat needs. You can program up to 6 times a day and up to 6 “servings”/portions at a time. I’d say each portion is approximately a tablespoon give or take. So for a 1/4 cup…I dispense 4 servings. My cat watched me doing this and the very first time he heard the food dispense on the timer, he stopped dead in his tracks and RAN to the feeder. lol. It’s a win so far!! Also there is a battery pack. Can plug in or use battery. Cord is about 4 and a half feet long. I didn’t measure accurately. Stainless steel bowl removes for easy cleaning. Litter box cleaning, water bowl filling, and proper food serving are all joys of having a pet cat. I'm a firm believer in technology and its ability to assist in everyday chores. I have a self cleaning litterbox, a self filling water fountain, and thanks to PETLIBRO, a self serving food dispenser. If you're looking for automation, look no further! Over the past month my cat has been able to not only eat consistent portions of meals, but also done so at a regularly scheduled timeframe that I have decided. Delivery: Overall the packaging was minimal yet arrived securely. Cleanup was fast as there was only a few protective plastics to throw away. The box was mid-sized, not weighing very much. Setup: Following the instruction booklet is easy. If you prefer a visual aid, you also can watch a how-to on YouTube! Serving sizes are calculated correctly, allowing any number of combinations you desire to feed your pet cat. Do you prefer they eat three times a day? No worries! Five? Say less. Six times but with less food per serving? You can do it! The options are endless. I use Purina pro plan for kittens which is a smaller size kibble. I was afraid the size would cause a problem with the portions this device uses, but luckily it was able to change effortlessly to an increment I desired for my pet. Features: I truly enjoy the ability to have the choice between a wireless or wired system. Having the option is great as some outlets are not conveniently located near my current food dish. The battery pack allows for a very long power duration. I am always scared about power outages at home while I am away for vacations. With the ability to go battery powered vs plug-in, it enables a backup incase the power does shutoff. I also enjoy the protective cover for the menu options. My cat loves to swat anything she sees, and having the protective cover prevents her from changing any settings I have put in place. Complaints: Overall I can't complain about much. I do know competitors offer a voice feature that allows you to use a speak a pre-recorded clip when it's time to dispense the next meal. Though this is missing, the added food dish is metal, allowing any kibble being dispensed to make a small but noticeable clanking noise when dropped. My cat has had no issues hearing her next meal being dispensed, but if it becomes a problem in the future, I will update. Final thoughts: The PETLIBRO Automatic cat feeder has been an exceptional addition to my home, allowing a simple and effective way to plan, portion, and produce timely meals for my lovely fur baby. I will continue to use this version for the next year and if all goes well, I might upgrade to the APP enabled device next! ... show more
