  • Owning this chair +6 months I felt the need to provide a review
Style: Model II
I have driven this chair approximately 100 miles and I have a few things to point out. Note: - This chair has enough speed to roll forward and on top of you but so do manual chairs in the right conditions. If someone pushes you as fast in a manual wheelchair and you hit a curb or deep wide crack or tall grass or mud that your front tires cannot easily go over than the passanager gets flung forward (Newtons law or something like that) (thank my wife for proving me right and Newtons law but at least she laughed). Slowly backing over a curb since the big tires are located in the back of the chair or have someone lift you over the curb. - The breaking system is not always consistent and can continue rolling into trafic or into people. Putting your chair into reverse fixes this issue but not for the people who may be behind you or you may turn into people on the side of you. My manual wheelchair has this problem as well if the person pushing the wheelchair lets go while in motion. - Battery power can and will change depending on enviromental conditions. I have noticed that my battery lasted the longest while using it in Chicago where we would travel (others walked) up to 16 miles in a day having 3 out of the 5 battery indicators still lit. Doing the same amount of miles in Colorado leaves my chair in 1 to 2 out of 5 battery indicators still lit. Chicago had almost 10 foot elevation (almost a floor of elevation per an Apple watch measurement) while in Colorado we do 30 to 60 feet of elevation gain (+2 to +4 floors of elevation per Apple watch measurement). Weather also can change the amount of miles this chair can get as well as the speed. The top speed I normally pass people walking but when its cold out this chair does not seem to keep up with the walking crowd (could be walking faster in the cold). The last battery mention is the individuals weight. The lighter I weigh the less battery is used. The battery had a lot in common with my wife on this issue of how long they can last due to how much I weigh. - Don't ever mention that your chair has multiple speeds after years of being pushed around in a manual wheelchair. This may cause a sharp feeling at the back of the head which may or may not been caused by a loved one. - The strap given for holding the chair together in suit case size when folded up is useful but really should be used temporarily. I picked up 2 luggage stapes labled T for the top to bottom and S for the side way strapping work significantly better. - Always have a warm weather proof blanket or insulated wind breaking water resistent jogging pants. I find that I am always getting cold. I know it is becuase it is cold out but also that I am not moving. Pros; - The chair feels very sturdy and well built. - I would like more speek but what you get is appropriate and in tight conditions feel more than I can handle. - Out of the box comfortable with out buying 3rd party cushions. - Includes tools to tighten things up which you will need to do. I didn't need tools for my manual wheelchair but I also have done 100 miles on it in one year. - Tires are really nice and so far do not need to be replaced unlike my manual chair. 3 front wheels 4 years. - The light attachment is perfect for silent crowd control and giving light on a dark July 4th. - The horn is loud enough to annoy and the backup horn is perfect. - Freedom!!!! I can take my time at the museum or store or at game and do it at the speed per my interests or needs. Not asking to go to the bathroom but just going to the bathroom is the best. - Having shocks on a wheelchair does help absorb some of the potholes versus my manual chair does not. - No longer feeling like a piece of luggage to be moved and feeling like part of the problem instead a contributing factor. I now check us into hotels while the luggage is getting handled. - Being a coat check at the museums. All 12 family members were happy I could be of assitance and I stayed extra padded. - Being included in more things like walks or shopping since I no longer need to be pushed and managed. - You find yourself wanting to be outside more escepecially since you can be independent if you are dependent on other to push you. - Treating your chair like a cell phone or a laptop. Always bring it in from the garage on cold or hot days and plugging it in after using. (pro = I do this now and con = making me be an adult) - Included seat and back cushens are enough to make this chair an all day comfort. Unlike other wheelchairs that require you to buy a third party cushions. Cons; - Wish they would sell the extra battery on Amazon as well as create a purchase package that included the extra battery. - The headrest is very comfortable but I wish it had an adjustment the lifted your head when the chair is tilted back. I need the chair to be tilted at a 40 degree angle which makes it a little tough to see while driving. (fixed with towel and pillow duvet) - Again the headrest is comfortable and feels great but when wearing a baseball cap with velcro causes the headrest material frays while sticking to each other. (fixed with towel and pillow duvet) - Treating your chair like a cell phone or a laptop. Always bring it in from the garage on cold or hot days and plugging it in after using. (pro = I do this now and con = making me be an adult) - Not related to the chair function but is a bummer. When people are tired of walking and ask you if you want to sit down. Looking at them not sure if they are joking or didn't realize you were already sitting. I want to walk and do it when I am able. - Not related to the chair function but is a bummer. This chair is making it significantly easier to travel but not all opportunities are available to wheelchair users. This also includes restaruants, bars, land marks, tour groups, air BnB's or almost all buildings from 1950's and earlier. Goggle travel app helps identify those places. - The chair does not come with a rain coat but a rain poncho resolves this issue. (4th July awesome local neighborhood light show and then rain hits. Driving with 2 large umbrellas is not recommended but looks funny as all get out.) I highly recommend this chair for all wheelchair users. Increase your activity with a chair that does alot on one battery. ... show more

  • big and heavy
Style: Model II
This seemed to be a quality chair. It seems very comfortable. It is a little heavy for carrying around in the car. You need to be strong to lift it. I got it for my stepdaughter in the rest home so loading and unloading it was not a concern. I did however send it back and had no problem with the refund. I did have to pay return shipping. There was not really any thing major wrong with it. It was just to big for her. She is very short and I could not get her in it. The seat was too high for her. I think it would be OK for most people. One thing I didn't like is the frequency controll would not start the wheels left or right. You had to start it forward first then pull it left or right. Once you got used to it you could deal with it. A little fine tuning of the controller might help. ... show more

  • This chair is a life changer
This chair is well made and sturdy. It reclines fully and folds quickly. Its sporty looking as well as comfortable. The fact that it has a remote control is awesome. It allows one to ride it a place to sit or lay then send it across the room out of the way! It will provide independence and mobility to my friend who had both legs crushed by a drunk driver, one of which was amputated above the knee. This is a great motorized wheelchair. The customer services was excellent! Thanks so much! ... show more

  • Confortable and convenient
It is very confortable and fast. Easy to learn and it works fantastic. Perfect size to be at home and to travel. It takes a little bit if work to put it together for the first time, but gets easier and it is worth it. Good headrest and great control features.

  • Best Purchase! Goes in grass & up hills
Style: Model II
Hands down this is the best wheelchair for going up hills, on terrain with tight tight turning radius and maneuverability. I can turn completely around in small elevators. Chair can handle uneven pavement, sidewalks, drive ways even mulch. Had deliver problems due to Amazon driver, but customer service from the seller was great. If there was one wish; I'd have a Univeral attachment 1' hole receiver to connect a wagon for groceries or pets. It is a bit heavy and I can't lift it into trunk. If Uber driver is nice & strong, they will lift. But sometimes I have to leave chair behind because it weighs too much to lift. I t was a breeze in the airport. Easy to fold and easy for airline to handle and stow. Would recommend. Extra battery a little pricey and wish it was offered with initial purchase. But because I like the chair so much, I will buy an extra battery for abroad travels.... just in case. ... show more
