I own a 2008 H-D FLHRC (Road King Classic) and was looking for a jack that could handle this bike. When I received it, it was quite heavy (box was labeled, "Heavy object. Two person lift required." UPS had delivered it to my front door. However, I was able to drag the box to my garage, myself. The first thing I noticed was the box looked damaged with some holes appearing on the lid and at the bottom. I would recommend to Performance Tool to upgrade their shipping box. Once I opened it, I noticed things where bubble wrapped and two smaller boxes that held the hydraulic ram and the other box held the leveling bolts and tie downs. To my surprise I saw two bolt nuts just loosely lying at the bottom of the box. Thank goodness it didn't find it's way out of one of the holes on the shipping box. However, I started to wonder what parts were missing like the return spring, hex screws, or washers, after doing an inventory based on page 3 of the assembly instructions. To my surprise, after following these instructions, the "missing" items I just mentioned were already attached to the frame base already (that was a relief)! Please note that when assembling, use your metric tools (e.g., 13mm socket; 6mm hex; etc). On page 4, step 2, the ram support was already assembled and all I had to do was attach the safety lever. On that same page, steps 3 thru 6, was not needed, since the hex screw, return spring, pivot pit, and cotter pin was ALREADY attached to the hydraulic ram. Now I'm wondering if this was a returned item...oh well, I moved on to step 7 on page 5. Finally finished putting it together and it worked WELL! The most CRITICAL part is to ALWAYS align SAFETY BAR with the welded STOPS on the frame base. If you don't the bike begins to feel off balance while depressing the bigger pump pedal. It held the bike in all three positions (stops), and I tested it with the ram piston all the way down and the safety bar held it in-place (again, it's CRITICAL to "GENTLY depress the lowering lever (on the hydraulic ram ~ the smaller foot pedal) to allow the safety levers on the safety bar to LOCK in place (on the welded stops on the frame base). I've added some pictures of what I received and the use of this jack in ALL different positions. Would HIGHLY recommend this product! ... show more

This is not what you need it is of no value as first, the spud on the end will not fit your floor jack so that needs to be cut off. it will only level in one direction and that is a joke as it is next to impossible to do with trans on jack. it will hold the transmission up but you will have to leave it in position, side units are completely useless as they want to sit on the pan not the housing and the transmission I was doing thank god was a small one and would never work on large trans. overall this is worthless do not spend your money ... show more

I ordered this transmission jack adapter even though I read some conflicting reviews. I thought I'd share mine. Upon assembling the adapter, I came to find most was already assembled minus a few pieces. The quality was what I expected from seeing the pictures. I will admit some hardware was missing, but it was only 3 washers. Washers which I had laying around the house. People on here complained about the hardware, but it looked plenty fine for me. I used this to remove a transmission from a 1995 Ford F-150 (Automatic)... and I gotta say, IT WORKED WONDERS! SAVED ME LOTS OF TIME AND HEADACHE. Now, I wasn't removing the transmission and replacing it with another. I was replacing a rear main seal. So the height of the adapter didn't really affect me too much. If I were removing the transmission, I would have to lift the truck up a few more inches. All in all the adapter worked very well and despite the lack of 3 washers, I'll still recommend it to someone and give it a 5 star rating! Best $60 ever spent!!! ... show more

I got this from the "Used but like new" products. It was missing parts and bolts I was able to fabricate the missing parts and buy replacement bolts. The assembly and usage instructions are a joke. I ended up taking it apart twice and rebuilding it before I got it functional. While the adaptor itself was helpful sadly my jack gave up the ghost in the middle of getting the new transmission installed. Will I use it again? Yes. Will I be using a much larger and probably overkill jack with it then. Also a big YES. Anyone need a old Dodge Caravan for parts? I won't be putting anymore effort into the one I was trying to fix. ... show more

I cannot really review, just put out a warning. Product is fine, no issues with the construction or materials. But once mounted to the jack, it is almost 20" high. I could not get it under the car to pull the tranny. If you plan to use, make sure you have the vehicle clearance to use. Looks like it would work just fine.
