  • Steel to first time Aluminum Jack
Style: 3 Ton Aluminum
I did a ton of research to determine which low profile floor jack to buy. I had been using a big and heavy steel floor jack for years and finally bought this one. I had tried some of my friends Aluminum floor jacks that advertise that it only takes a few pumps to lift the car to full height. Have you tried these jacks? I have and they take a ton of weight to push town on the handle to lift the car. I'm not a NASCAR pit crew that is jumping on the handle and worried about 10 pumps or 3 pumps to full lift. I wanted the hydraulic advantage of my old steel jack, a lighter jack, and one that is truly low profile for my 350Z. On my steel jack, the hydraulic advantage is so good I can jack up my car with only one half of the handle in the jack. (by the way, it's over 34 years old on the original oil and still going strong!) My garage is pretty tight so it is really helpful to use only one half of the handle when jacking up the car. So, this jack is really impressive. The pictures don't do it justice on how well made it is. They really need to add more super high resolution photo's. The video helps a lot to see how well built this jack is. It has a great hydraulic advantage so you do not need to put your full body weight on the handle to jack the car up. I only use one half of the handle when jacking my car up in my cramped garage space on the sides. I can easily jack the car up with no issues. It's low enough profile for my 350Z that is very low to the ground. On my steel jack, I had removed the cast iron jacking cup/plate in order to get it low enough for my 350Z. This jack easily fits under my car as-is. It does not jack your car up in 3 pumps with you jumping on the handle with all of your weight and that is not what I wanted to buy. The hydraulic release works great and it easily lowers the car in a very controlled manner. My only constructive comment is that this jack is so well made that it is not very light. I was really struggling with deciding if I wanted a 3 ton, 2 ton, or 1.5 ton jack. I wanted to take it to the track and was hoping it would be pretty light weight. I never weighed my old steel jack but all I can say is this jack is not obviously a lot lighter than my old jack. This is a big, strong, and heavy duty jack so if you are looking for a super light weight jack that is really portable this is probably not it. I still love this jack but I'm now thinking about getting a much lighter Aluminum jack for the track weekends. Lastly, I know when I was debating this versus other jacks the warranty wasn't as good. I think ARCAN needs to improve their warranty to be more competitive. I read a lot of reviews on other websites and decided this was the jack for me even though the warranty wasn't as good. It looks like tons of folks are making lower cost Aluminum jacks that have problems after 1-2 years of use. I'm counting on it being built well enough that I don't need the warranty but it would be nice for ARCAN to back up the product with a better warranty. ... show more

  • The BEST jack I have every owned! Perfect for LOW vehicles.
Style: 3 Ton Steel
This jack is just great! I bought this jack to replace an old jack that failed (not the same manufacturer). it's low enough to fit under my vintage Porsche 911 and the load rating gives me peace of mind. It does not lift quite high enough for an SUV, but for most any car (even lowered vehicles) it's great. Solid construction, not super heavy. Easy to move around. LONG bar to make jacking easy. Looks cool too. HIGHLY recommend! ... show more

  • Can't imagine having a better floor jack than this one
Style: 3 Ton Aluminum
The jack arrived in an extremely well designed package that made it easy to unpack. Excellent instructions were included to walk one through the simple procedure to prepare the jack for use. That is, the hydraulic system needs to be primed and that's an easy process. ... My first use of the jack left me confident that this product will be in my garage longer than I will. Tt's a wonderful product that easy to maneuver, rock solid, lifts quickly, and releases smoothly. I recommend it highly. ... show more

  • Sturdy, light, and fantastic
Style: 3 Ton Aluminum
I have been wanting one of these jacks ever since I saw them at Costco years ago. Since Costco no longer stocks them I purchased it on Amazon. Typically, I use the very highly rated 4 ton Daytona professional jack. But, this jack is so lightweight and easy to swivel around it has become my first choice in the garage. ... show more

  • I feel this Jack was worth every penny.
Style: 3 Ton Aluminum
update after 18 months. this Jack has been used to lift a 1 ton van, several half ton trucks, a 5 ton box truck, a 20 yard solid steel dumpster and multiple passenger vehicles. I am still extremely happy with my purchase and I have never had a problem with it. this jack is replacing a three-year old 3 ton solid steel floor jack. The old Jack weighs 110 pounds this one weighs less than 60. Before I make a purchase I typically read most of the reviews for the item. After reading the reviews for this Jack I was not sure what to expect. I decided to go ahead and make the purchase and if I experienced any of the issues mentioned in other peoples reviews I would just return it. This jack arrived in perfect condition with absolutely no problems. The manufacturer applied grease to the inside of the neck where the handle attaches, to the roller areas where the handle rolls against the Pistons and to the pivot points for the handle. This jack looks great, feels extremely light and should last me many years. I also saw other reviewer‘s who mentioned they think the wheels are plastic and some others who mention they thought they were steel. The wheels on the jack I received are aluminum. The rubber pad on the top of the Jack is thin yet effective. I do not expect this pad to stay in brand new condition after jacking up multiple vehicles. I like the attention to detail the manufacturer put into this Jack. The handle is removable without tools, you can separate the two haves of the handle just by depressing a button, the handle has a protective rubber sleeve at the lower portion so you don’t damage your vehicle. Everything about this jack is great quality and I have been happy with my purchase. I saw some other people who mentioned having issues with bleeding this jack. I turned the handle to the left so the Jack would not build pressure as directed by the card that comes with the Jack. Pump it about 10 times then tighten the handle to the right. The Jack started pumping up immediately with no issues. I raised the Jack to its full height then lowered it all the way down again. I took a large flat head screw driver and open the fill port on the hydraulic cylinder to allow any extra air to escape. After tightening the cap back up I have had no problems and have not needed to bleed this Jack again. ... show more
