I finally got around to replacing the air suspension in my 2014 BMW X5. Unbeknownst to me, the X5 is just shy of 3 tons. This thing lifted that big beast up and didn't break a sweat. I was amazed at how easy it was to do. I wish it came with different "shoes". though. I used the lift point on the side of my car in the shape of a smaller rectangle. It's possible that I should have lifted it using the rear differential and placed my jack stands at the rectangles. Still, you should be able to lift from the side. Additionally sized shoes would be beneficial. Pros: Works right out of the box like a champ. It lifted my 3 ton SUV without breaking a sweat. Cons: The pole that you put into the end doesn't stay in very well. I understand that it's pretty much gravity that's holding it in there, but sometimes when I'm jacking it up the pole will slip out. I was hoping for a more permanent solution to the pole where it would stay in place while being used. Maybe I'm missing something. Either way, the instructions didn't say anything about it having the ability to lock in place. Also, as I was nearing the end of a lift, the bar felt like it was going to snap in half. Maybe it's the construction of the bar. But, the harder I pulled on it the flimsier it felt. Don't get me wrong, it did it's job just fine, it just felt like the bar was going to snap any moment. I think having a full bar instead of one that snaps together would alleviate this problem. Besides that, it works great! ... show more

Jack packaging was better than I expected. Box only had normal minor shipping scuffs. Inside had formed styrofoam blocks. Not a scratch to be found. Took a few minutes to remove all the little beads that stuck to the jack due to static, but no worries. No piston leaks and lube points show appropriate grease but no mess. Installing the pole was simple, connect the two pieces, seat in hole, tighten screw. Twist the pole clockwise until action locked, and pump. The dual piston action raises all the way in about 7 pumps. Under load, it may take a few more pumps. Twist counterclockwise to release. Side handles are secure and the weight of the aluminum/steel construction is definitely lighter than all steel, but still adequate. Rubber pad on lift contact and foam pad on handle to protect car body are nice additions. Overall, very satisfied. ... show more

I had just purchased this jack and tried it once on the car just to make sure it operated correctly. So judging only by that it works fine. The only thing I would caution is when lowering the check use kid gloves and don't wrench the bar, because the car will come down real fast. This is my second hydraulic car jack, but I don't believe the other one would bring the car down with such great speed lol. Anyway I would give this product at least a four out of five only because I've had it for a day. I would need to know how it ages over time. ... show more

Really like this jack. With it I’m able to lift the whole front or rear of the vehicle as opposed to one side at a time. It might be lightweight for a jack but it is not light in weight. Solid and sturdy.

I lost confidence in this jack when I opened the box. Cons: 1. The 2-piece jack handle uses a spring pin to connect the two parts of the jack handle together. There is a LOT of play between the two parts and combined with the fact that the pump piston only moves a couple inches at a time, means the jack handle has to move up and down a large distance to get a full stoke of the piston. 2. Lifting handle does not attach to the jack well. I had to figure out where it is supposed to go from the picture since the instructions don't say. The jack weighs around 20 pounds and having the carrying handle come off while carrying the jack could be a foot breaker. 3. The rubber jack pad was stashed inside the body of the jack. If I hadn't seen it on the parts diagram I wouldn't have known it existed. 4. The hydraulic piston has a ring of moisture (oil?) around it. This may just be from some slight spillage of the hydraulic fluid when it was assembled, but based on all the other issues listed above, I would not bet on the longevity of the jack. I immediately returned this item unused. I do NOT recommend this jack. On a side note, I've had to return several poor-quality items lately. I may have to stop ordering non-name brand merchandise from Amazon, which might mean more trips to brick-and-mortar stores and fewer orders from Amazon in the future. Amazon does sell name brand items with recognized quality and the price is usually exactly what I would pay for the items at Lowes, Home Depot, etc. But they don't carry every name brand I like. I do like the fairly fast shipping and the great return policy though. ... show more

I have never owned a floor jack before so this is my very first experience with one. First, the build quality is amazing and It is a lot easier to use than the small jack that came with my car. Just pump it a few times and you’re all good. It is super easy to use. I thought it would be bigger but it is kind of portable. It can fit easily in the trunk. It may be heavy for some people to be portable. One thing I noticed, when going down, it is super sensitive. I have tried my best to turn it slowly for it to come down smoothly but it always goes down fast. It is like it drops the car. Again, it is my first time with a floor jack so I may get used to it. ... show more
