I have baby fine but curly hair. Sometimes straighteners will leave my hair frizzy but this one with one smooth slide through my hair makes it go from curly to smooth straight and shiny. I am a huge fan of Remington products. I have bought high end hair tools that have set me back 100-300$ but this was to replace my old remingtom hair straightener that I always go back to but it's like 7 years old and it still worked was just ready for a new one. Glad I stuck with Remington - it's just like my old one but better. It works pretty well. The different settings are nice. But I would recommend wiping with a damp cloth (not while plugged in!!!) before the first time you use it. Because I just used it and there was this strong chemical smell, like carcinogens. Hopefully the smell will go away over time. I don't exactly see the "shiny" that everyone's talking about either but it's still a good straightener for the price I got it at. It takes 2-3 runs at 370 to flatten my really wavy hair. Also you can change the temperature and it comes with a temperature guide in the manual ... show more
