The media could not be loaded. This tower fan has a powerful airflow that definitely cools down the master bedroom I put it in by several degrees. It's in a short-term rental, so the noise factor was a major concern. Any strong fan is going to give off some kind of "white noise," but the undertones can make or break a guest's ability to sleep. This one does have a very soft, medium-high pitch undertone that I can hear if I listen with focus, but I find it fairly easy to ignore when I'm in the room for more than a few minutes and not focusing on it. I've asked 3 others to listen and give their opinion on whether this was a good purchase, keeping guests in mind. Two said they can also barely hear a mid-high tone as the fan oscillates, but I shouldn't be concerned unless it gets louder. One said she couldn't hear the tone, thought we were imagining it, and believed this was an excellent purchase. So, I'm keeping it for now, and glad I bought the extra Amazon warranty because if it gets noisier over time, that won't be acceptable. So far, it seems like this was a very good choice. I didn't care about the fan having a remote control, thinking that could be just one more thing for guests to misplace, but because it had a "holder" for the remote on the fan, I was ok with it. The holder turns out to be a slot in the back, toward the top of the fan. It's only wide enough to slide the remote in one way, and 50% of the remote remains sticking out of the slot. It doesn't seem to fall as the fan turns, but it's a weird design aspect that could have been better imagined. I really liked the idea of the "sleep mode" that this unit has, because rested guests are happy guests. I saw a couple of other reviews that said it was a non-feature, but I hoped they might be exceptions. Nope, they were correct, it's nothing. I can't tell any difference at all between the highest setting and the sleep mode, so if that's a factor in your decision, BELIEVE those reviewers: "sleep mode" doesn't mean anything on this fan. It's no quieter or louder than the highest setting. The highest setting is still quieter than other fans I've used, though. The footprint of the fan is small, but the fan is still plenty stable. This was important to me, because I needed something that wouldn't get bumped into or tipped over. Overall, this seems like a very good, powerful fan and it's doing the job I bought it for well. ... show more

I ordered this fan because it has a small foot print, oscillates within that space and is tall enough for the fanned air to reach me in a high, adjustable bed. It has a remote control that allows me to adjust the speed, run time, etc, without having to get out of bed. The sleek design allows it to blend with any room design.     • Good Fan, Stable And Doesn't Wobble, Powerful, Remote Is Line Of Sight Only

In an effort to save some space in a smaller apartment, I decided to get one of these tower fans. This fan is pretty big or at least it is quite tall. It comes well packaged and in four pieces. There is the main tower that is the fan.. There are two plastic pieces that snap together to make the base of the fan. Assembly is very easy and takes about 2 minutes. The forth piece is the remote. I got this via Amazon Warehouse in "Like New" condition for about $28. It didn't come with batteries for the remote. I'm not sure if if doesn't come with them or they were missing because it came from Amazon Warehouse. The remote needs two AAA batteries. This fan is powerful. It will blow papers off a table 15 or more feet away. The remote works well but only if the center of the fan is in line with the remote. It seems like there is a little sensor on one part of the fan that receives the signal from the remote. When the fan is on and rotating, the remote will only work during part of the rotation. If that one spot on the fan that receives the remote signal is not directly facing the remote then the fan doesn't pick up the signal from the remote. The touch controls on the top of the fan work flawlessly and are easy to control. It does have some sort of auto shutoff but I haven't played with the automatic settings enough to really know exactly how they work. Overall, this is a great fan at the $28 Amazon Warehouse price for a "Like New" one. At the $75 or more new price it is still probably a pretty good deal. There are lots of similar fans at that price. If you're going to buy a new one at full price you might want to look around and compare this one to other models. If you order this tower fan whether new or from Amazon Warehouse I think you'll be happy with it. The remote could work a little better but that's my only issue with it so far. ... show more

Good airflow and not too loud on the highest output. I don't use the oscillating feature so can't comment on it. Wish I would have read the description more thoroughly because it shuts off every 9 hours and I need it to run all the time to circulate the crappy AC in my apartment.
