Just received mine. It says to charge it for 2 hours before first using it, but mine was fully charged (i.e. the blue light stopped blinking) in about 30 minutes. Assuming that was correct, I tried it out. Very effective and easy to use. The on/off button is to be on the left, so the cooling vents can work on your neck, face and head. Short click for low, medium and high and 4th click to turn off - or alternatively, a slightly longer hold on any setting will also turn it off. I do find it a bit noisier than all the reviews and videos indicated, but again, ANYTHING that relieves extreme heat is a bonus in my book. It does cool, is powerful enough for my needs and it's light enough around the neck; not as annoying as I thought it would be. Updated Review: I bought this in April of 2024 and it stopped working in July of 2024. Would not suggest purchasing. Prev Review: I purchased this for when I was in labor and I ended up using it my whole pregnancy and in labor. Honestly, if I had to pick between an epidural and this fan, I would pick this fan. Sadly, (and i mean full on tears) I lost in the post-baby trying-to-keep-everything-together post-baby haze. I purchased this again to help combat dermatomyositis symptoms and while I still love it, the battery life doesn't last nearly as long as the previous one. It lasts a half hour tops after being charged fully. I try and keep it charged all the time. Regardless, I still love it. It was very helpful in the hospital when it was in the high 90s and the AC wasnt working and am a huge fan. 100% would buy again and have suggested to many friends who also loved it. ... show more

This product was purchased in hopes that it would take the summer heat off at picnics. I am now forced to buy more because others in the house use it nonstop. Wife uses it while cooking and my daughter will where it just about anywhere that involves “outside”. The fan isn’t loud enough to block background conversations, but puts out enough airflow to cool you off. The build quality is good against drops from about 4 or so feet. (Learned that the hard way) The unit itself feels solid also, but doesn’t have enough weight to feel like a burden. Controls are simple and easily figured out by people you let borrow it. Works great in an air conditioned space. It takes on the temperature of the space you’re in. Not useful while in very hot conditions because blows hot air, and even on hi setting cannot feel the air blowing.
