See this picture? The top section is supposed to be the camera image. However it practically never works for more than a couple minutes at a time. It’s useless as a baby monitor at night because it goes black and you can’t hear them in the middle of the night. I bought two of these pieces of junk because I had twins. I am so upset I spent so much money on these. The outlet socks on the other hand seem to work and give me peace of mind. Just buy the owlet sock and get a different camera because this one sucks. I have contacted customer service several times to try to get it fixed to work but it’s still never works. Picture quality and night vision are great for the 2 minutes that it works when you originally open it after waiting and waiting for it to load. Then it will just go black or the app will crash a few minutes later though. My other complaint is that the notification sound for when they are awake is too quiet. That wouldn’t be an issue if the stupid camera actually worked though. The sound on the owlet sock when there’s an issue does ring to your phone for a few seconds and it’s loud. The base will continue on until the issue is resolved. We have the bases in their rooms so I wish the bases were a bit louder than they are In case I were to sleep through the phone alarm that only lasts a few seconds. Overall I am happy with the sock but the camera makes me so angry. ... show more

I didn’t buy this before my child’s arrival, didn’t think I would need it and had heard mixed reviews about it. Then my child ended up in the nicu due to turning blue hours after delivery and seeing his heartrate and oxygen there I knew I needed to be able to see it at home too. It helped me to be able to sleep at night. It also helped when my little one got rsv. Before I knew it was rsv I was watching his oxygen rate and said if it dropped or fever spiked he would go to the hospital. And it dropped to 92 on the sock and so we went and I’m glad I had the sock to not only know his oxygen at that time but also now as he recovers. It does take 10 minutes to update oxygen which isn’t great when you want to know it constantly, but still great to be able to know In case of emergency. It does disconnect from the base a lot which can be annoying, but overall definitely recommend for anyone who has a baby for peace of mind. ... show more

My son was in the NICU for some lung related issues when he was born. We had heard about the Owlet sock from a friend at church. The sock has been great for us to monitor our son while he sleeps and gives us peace of mind. Obviously the sock will not prevent SIDs or other breathing issues but being able to monitor and get alerts would be helpful and allow us to act. Everything seems to work really well overall. Two small downsides of the sock may be that the range on the docking station seems a bit limited. Going a couple of rooms away sometimes gives an alarm saying the sock disconnected. The other downside is when putting the sock on you have short time before alarms start telling you about sock placement issues. This can be annoying as you are gathering diapers, wipes, and everything else while your baby cries and the alarm is going off. The camera works great. The video is pretty clear and the two way audio works well. I also found the mounting process to be simple and the provided cable covers were easy to use to ensure there are no loose cables near the crib. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. As a new mom this gives me the utmost comfort. Especially now that we are transitioning our baby into his room the sock is great quality and comfortable for your baby . Ease to us and the app has updated since . The sound quality can be a bit better but I deem that’s because of WiFi or bc I’m in the room with my phone while speaking .
