This is my third purchase and I am glad that I wasn't put off by the 4.3 star rating!! The JouSecu is, in my opinion, is one of the best purchases I have made on Amazon. I purchased this JouSecu monitor as an OUTDOOR security camera! I Know it is Indoor Only but I was desperate..... due to the number of homeless people roaming and prowling both in front of the house and the alley. My perimeter alarms were triggered multiple times every night and I was terrified, especially after I confronted a man and a very aggressive and terrifying woman, trying to jimmy my front door. I startled them from behind my locked gate, thinking I was somewhat safe but noticed they had several items from my backyard stacked and ready to go on My folding hand cart!!! After several missing packages and one $400 shipment gone.... I had to do something but what!?!?!? With no Wi-Fi to connect security cameras to I was at a loss. Then I started scouring Amazon for a solution. I took a chance and JouSecu seemed to fit my needs.... I definitely needed two cameras and the monitor was a good size of 5 inches, split screen. Installed them in May of 2023, under the cover of the porch, where they couldn't get wet. They have been a godsend!!!! I have great views of both front and back yards. Have startled and deterred several uninvited visitors both day and night. The speakers are clear and I can hear every word. Just by asking "May I help you" is enough to have them look startled, turn in their tracks and leave. It's been almost a year and a half and 24 hours of use throughout two somewhat hot summers and an occasionally freezing winter and other than a slight blurriness, and a disjointed motion delay caused from a little condensation, which clears up quickly, I've been very satisfied. I plan on sealing the seams with silicone before this winter. The monitor can be switched to single camera view or split screen for both at the same time. On the VOX setting it lasts all day. At night I plug it into either the wall socket or my portable power bank thingy, for smartphones. As to why I have purchased three of them... Well the price keeps coming down and, to be honest, I thought I'd be lucky if it lasted through the winter. So I got one for a backup and then worried they may be discontinued so got another one. Another price drop has me contemplating a fourth purchase at $97.99. Just one thing since the cameras are plug in you have to have an outlet. My porch lights only needed a socket adapter but that left the porch dark. I bought a two way socket splitter and two adapters, one for the camera and one for a plug in motion sensor light with a six inch stiff flexible cord that allows for easy positioning. Paired with what they call driveway alarms that alert you when someone enters your property. I am very happy with the ones that look like grey owls (motion sensors ). All above items are available on Amazon. I hope this helps more senior citizens who like myself can't afford WiFi and expensive security cameras. While $97.99 is an astronomical amount for low or fixed income...... the peace of mind at being able to know who or what is outside your door is priceless. Best wishes to all! ... show more

PERFECT no-wifi needed baby monitor!! Great for travel. Just plug and play. I love that you don’t have to connect to internet or pair anything like my old monitor and cameras that finally died. We have only used it a month so far, but the daytime video quality and battery life is excellent compared to our other monitor we keep at home. The picture is very clear and the sound is great. I have not tried the music feature. I tested the voice, my baby can hear me. I can hear her well which matters most! I know when she is awake and about especially at night. The night vision is very clear, black & white at night. The sound is very sensitive. I keep the volume up at night and lower during the day because you can hear everything. The monitor is a good size. The monitor works at a great distance and easy to use. Great price too. I now have peace of mind. ... show more

We really needed PTZ cameras otherwise I likely would have stayed with this unit - this is nearly perfect with the biggest point being all the devices can run off standard USB cables I don't understand how in 2022, USB is literally the universal worldwide connector and yet somehow every baby monitor is still using a barrel connector for power, unbelievable The few lacking points on this unit or that the key beep cannot be turned off, the audio switching between cameras could be a little cumbersome at times, The volume leveling is a great feature but I didn't feel like it was strong enough to balance out ambient noise The frame rate on the video was surprisingly good and split screen mode which most devices seem to do very poorly All in all, if I could get a PTZ version of this camera with a few software tweaks it would be the best ... show more

The video quality is ok, but it worked well since we have two under two. I wish that you could hear both at the same time or be able to change the position of the camera more easily. We have now had it for over a year and use it a lot, but now the screen doesn’t work at all. It’s frustrating to already have to replace it. ... show more

I have used two different types of monitors before this one. The first one had terrible picture quality and terrible battery life. The second one quit charging after less than a year of use. This one has been perfect so far! PROS -LONG LASTING BATTERY LIFE- I can use this for three nights straight in VOX mode. -Can be charged two different ways- from a stand or a cord -Easy to setup -Multiple cameras -Picks up sounds very easily CONS -Picture quality could be better. It isn’t bad, but I could see how parents with a newborn might want better quality. I have a 2 and 4 year old that sleep on a different floor than us so we use this to keep an eye on them. I have bought and returned so many baby monitors trying to find the right one. We settled on hello baby for my daughter and now we are expecting our second daughter later this year. For peace of mind I prefer video and sound. These monitors have AMAZING picture quality in day time or night vision. The lights are off in both rooms (and obviously the crib has random stuff in it due to us getting the room ready) and the sound quality is great as well. These are the only cameras without Wi-Fi that I’ve found to have this good of quality as well as coverage. Others I’ve tried had a SUPER zoomed in picture even with the camera all the way up to the ceiling. Personally the video is a tiny bit laggy but not enough to cause any issues from what I can see. The only improvement I would’ve liked is to be able to move the cameras from the monitor itself. Other than that I love them so far. If anything changes I’ll come back and edit this review! ... show more
