I had a hard time finding a monitor that gave the option of a parent unit AND mobile access. Thats what led me to this baby monitor. The camera works well and has night vision so you’ve got a clear picture in the dark. It tracks temperature as well which I really like. You can talk through the camera and play music too. There’s a ton of settings on the parent unit to customize it to your liking. The connection can be spotty if you’re very far away or have unreliable WiFi, but 99% of the time I’ve had no issues with that. The best thing about this camera is the picture quality it produces on the monitor. But none of that matters if it’s functionality is complete garbage. 1. Didn’t take me longer than 1 hour after it being delivered and messing around with it to realize the battery lasts a whole 2 seconds before it starts dying. 2. The app you can pair it with isn’t supported whatsoever. On my own phone the camera wouldn’t pull up in app when it required me to scan a QR code. Downloaded it on my wife’s phone and it somehow worked on hers. 3. Was starting to maybe give this baby monitor a chance, but of course this product just kept letting me down. Once I was able to scan the QR code and set up my WiFi and Bluetooth, it wouldn’t connect at all. It would give me a “no camera found” error. Splitting my WiFi into different bands didn’t work either since it specified it only connected to a 2.4 WiFi connection. This monitor initially grabs your attention with its great picture quality and monitor display but none of that matters when you can’t get it to function for what you pay for. I was little hesitant to buy this after reading all the review but still decided and purchased this as I made up my mind to return this in case if not satisfied after using it.. now I am glad that I have this product and it really helps me to monitor my baby all the time through the display to has and also from phone when I am outside.. Battery life is good and I am not seeing any issues after a week usage in the display battery.. motion detection is excellent, night mode and picture quality everything is good.. I wanted to wait a few months to use this before writing a review. So far this baby monitor has worked well. There has been a few frustrations but for the most part it works as intended. The good: -Large screen -Clear picture -Good sound -Camera is able to move around and zoom in/out -I like that it has a dimming mode. After so much time the screen will dim so it’s not so bright in your face all night. The bad: -We have had several instances where the monitor just doesn’t work. It says it’s not connected to the camera. Sometimes we have to unplug the camera just to get the monitor to work again. It was happening quite often in the beginning. So much so that my husband wanted to return it. Practically every time we tried turning it on it wouldn’t work at first. We always had to wait 5-10 minutes, turn the monitor off and on a few times or just unplug the camera in order for the screen to come up. But recently we haven’t had any more issues. I began to realize if I tried turning the monitor on while it was plugged up it seemed to cause issues. If I take it off the wall plug in and then turn it on it doesn’t have any issues. Not sure why that is. But just be aware. Other reviews mention this problem as well. -The battery sucks. There’s no kind way to put it. The monitor will barely last 2 hours. Even if you have it turned off. Once you take it off the wall plug-in don’t expect it to last long. Even if it’s turned off all the way the battery still drains. I love that is able to mount on the wall. You can move the camera angle and talk through it. I like that it has a temperature sensor for the room and that there is a parent unit and an app that you can use to watch your baby.
