This is my second Always Pan - my first was the nonstick version, which I loved but was frustrated I couldn't use to go from stovetop to oven. This definitely alleviates that problem! Overall, it's a beautiful looking pan, which is important if you don't have a lot of space (I don't) and have to keep it on the stove. It cooks very evenly. I only have two issues with it. One - it can be difficult to clean. Our Place claims it will eventually gather a 'patina,' but on mine, it looks less like an overall patina and more like a quarter of the pan has scorched stains I can't scrub off. Two - it is HEAVY. If you're like me and have somewhat weak arms, it can be a struggle to do things like scrape cooked food out of the pan or clean it with one hand. This is a more general problem with cast iron, but I find I have a harder time with this pan than I do with even my 12" Lodge cast iron. Despite that, I do recommend it. It's absolutely a versatile workhorse, and the colors are gorgeous. ... show more
