The Always Pan lives up to its hype! While for us cookware has to be about function over form, have to start by saying the pan is drop-dead gorgeous. Friends who've come over actually ask what it is and where they can buy one. But what matters most is what is under that exterior. We have omelettes daily, so need a non-toxic non-stick pan where the eggs can slide right off. The Always Pan has delivered day after day now with flawless performance. It also definitely requires way less oil than other non-toxic alternatives (like a steel pan); the oil requirement is comparable to nonstick cookware (but those are full of toxic chemicals). And since we use it every day, we also clean it every day: can vouch for it being as easy to clean as your usual non-stick pan (just use a soft sponge to preserve the surface). The steamer basket, and steaming foods in there is a breeze, with its beautiful lid that can both let off steam or keep steam in (based on how you turn the lid). We've used it to steam wontons and steam veggies, and both have turned out perfect. The wooden spatula is also helpful, as is the convenient spatula rest along the handle. Makes keeping the kitchen clean and tidy easy. The pan is also remarkably light even while being sturdy, so perfect balance there. Very easy to carry with one hand. Oh, and the handle stays cool too, which is a must when rolling hot omelettes off the pan. Stews and curries have also been easy to cook. The fact that the lid creates such a nice seal means cook times are on the lower side for meats. Since it is ceramic coated, don't have to worry about tomato-based or acidic curries or stews ruining the coating/seasoning, so that's great as well. Of course, for the coating to continue to work well, we do have to take care of it, which primarily means not using it over high heat, and making sure there's stuff in it when it is being heated. Just basic precautions and the pan should serve as our "daily driver" of delicious cooking for a long time to come. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is my second Always Pan (my first of the 2.0 series) and let me tell you - I am an Always Fan! The pan delivers on its promises & then some: - beautiful non-stick - and non-toxic, which was super important to me. Probably the biggest aspect of this purchase for me (the prettiness of the pan is a bonus). I researched a bunch of non PFOA options and have tried a few. This is by far the best I have found. - cleans very easily & easy to take care of - just follow the care instructions that come with the pan. - the steamer basket is a nice option, I use primarily for steamed veggies & noodles. It can be stored in the pan when it’s time to put it away which makes it very space-efficient. - I love the built in spoon rest, makes everything tidier and easier - a great option for small spaces (hello NYC apartment) because it houses it’s steamer & spoon. And it’s so cute that I often keep it out on the stove on display! - the color options are such a neat aspect. I tend to prefer the darker colors because I am a messy cook. The blue salt is really rich and I’m very pleased with how it looks IRL. I love to match it to my dish towels and oven mitts. - bonus: I also love the Our Place company in general, they’re all about community, culture and coming together around the dinner table. I have an Always Pan from 2 or 3 years ago so I can also speak to how it holds up. I still use my always pan 1.0 all the time. The main reason I got a second pan was because I wanted to get rid of an old sauté pan and still have 2 pans in my rotation (again, small NYC apartment, I have to be judicious with what gets space in my kitchen). I think the other big difference between the original and this version is that this pan can go in the oven which is awesome!!! Of course the pan gets dirty with a lot of use, especially if you crank the heat up past their suggested low-medium threshold (you shouldn’t do this, the pan heats beautifully and quickly on low-medium). When my older pan needs a pep-up, I put a bit of baking soda in and add water and heat it slightly then scrub with a SOFT natural sponge. I’ve used my original pan probably nearly every day for a few years and it is definitely well-loved, but still nice enough to keep out on the stovetop if I feel like seeing a pop of green in my kitchen. Overall, I really like this pan and it hasn’t let me down yet! Highly suggest if you’re looking for a chic, non-toxic, well-designed & well-functioning pan. ... show more
