I bought this chair as a Father's day gift. I loved the fact that it could recline! My husband really enjoys it as well. The width of the seat is extra large, which is nice when your kids want to snuggle by the fire with you. We are not large ppl by any means, and neither are our children, but having the extra width is a nice addition. The cup holder is also extra large and deep! A normal soda can fits flush with the holder - meaning when you place it in the holder, the top of the can is flush with the top of the holder (which makes it tricky to get out) A normal cup - no lid - will splash as you get out of the chair if you use the arm rest to assist yourself to stand, which we all do! Using the cup holder I recommend a bottle or cup with a lid. What we were a bit disappointed about was the construction. The arm rests are loose so that when you recline the chair (by pulling the knobs found at the bottom of each back leg - FYI they will not move while you are in the chair!) the arms will move with the back. Well, in the back, the tether is attached by screws into the metal poles supporting the back material. The chair we received had one of the screws stripped. It doesn't effect the movement but now one arm rest will go slack when the chair is in the upright position (the cup holder arm, of course!) Also, because of the screw issue, when we fold up the chair, there is nothing holding the fabric onto that metal arm. The back of the chair contently comes off the pole so we have to keep reminding ourselves to reattach the fabric before opening the chair. Again, the chair still works, it's comfortable to sit in, and the material is extra sturdy. We live with the flaw, but that is the reason I didn't rate it 5 stars. No, I did not contact the company. The chair was bought for a specific camping trip and if it was returned, my husband would not have been able to use it. The flaw is minimal and he overlooks it. The gift was a hit! It's his favorite camping chair. Overall, this is a great chair for the price! They do offer a foot stool (which was my husbands only complaint - no foot rest for reclining) but the addition stool is not attached to the chair and I could see my kids not only fighting over who would use it but one of them breaking it or themselves. ... show more

I'm a large human being. I also have lower back pain. This chair allows me to lean back and stretch out without looking like a slouch. COMFORTABLE and sturdy. I beat the heck out of my chair, I drag it across frozen lakes, I toss it out of my truck camper like it owes me money, and I plop in and out of it after a long night of fishing where all I caught was a buzz. I’m often sitting for volleyball tournaments for up to 10 hours a day on weekends. And if it’s not volleyball, it’s baseball or softball. I have a terrible back and stadium seating is not even an option. I can sit in this all day. And during breaks between games I can recline it even farther to stretch my back out. I have searched high and low and this was amazing and the price makes it even better!! I’ll definitely order a second one this summer! UPDATE: Delivered on Feb 3 and it broke today on Apr 9. So disappointed because I really like this chair. Hoping to have it replaced by the company. I will update when I hear from them. UPDATE 2: Company has lifetime guarantee and they immediately replaced it with a new one. However after the second use, the chair broke again in the very same spot. It seems to be a defective piece. I am waiting to hear from company about another replacement or money back. I LOVED this chair, it has everything I want and I’m so disappointed this same piece keeps breaking. ... show more

I had one of these chairs about 10 years back. I got used so much that I wore it out. Purchased new ones that were similar an a bit cheaper. Found that they didn’t compare to theses, so we splurged and purchased these again. I am so happy to have my chair that I love so much back. Super comfortable. Sits a little Lower than most chairs, which is most of the reason I needed it, for my hips. I’ve found when my legs barely touch the ground, it puts a lot of strain on my hips and they end up hurting. Not with this chair. It is very durable, made with good quality materials.
