The media could not be loaded. This rocking camping chair is an absolute winner! The sleek gray color looks fantastic, and it’s incredibly comfortable—perfect for long days at our sons' sporting events. I love this version even more than the other rocking model we own because it folds up smaller and comes with an attached carrying strap. Not having to wrestle it into a bag makes it so much easier to grab and go. It does sit slightly lower to the ground compared to the other model, but I haven’t found that to be inconvenient at all. We had the original GCI Rocker Freestyle that folded flat and was awkward to carry (but was still awesome), so we were looking for a more portable option. Picked these up on sale and have loved them! They collapse into a nice travel bag for much easier storage and transport. When open, they are comfortable and sturdy. My only warning is that unlike the classic model where it's more of a seat and you can sit up right, these have you in a more lounging, leaning back position. In addition, these are lower to the ground, so they may not be the best for elderly folks. For me, a middle aged man who get's around well, it's not an issue. As for quality and construction, we have owned 6 GCI chairs of different models for about 3-4 years and they have all held up well. The most I've had to do is to use a little WD-40 to eliminate a squeak. My wife even ran one over and bent the frame, but we still use it! I highly recommend GCI products! The only "negative" would be the weight -- they are not light, but it's not surprising when you consider how sturdy they are. My wife can carry it, but she doesn't like to. ... show more

The description did not say seat height is only 17" and for tall people over 6' getting in and out presents a challenge for retired folk. The seat forms a cup and that exaggerates the effort of getting out for me - over 6' 1" and 72 years old. The front has sturdy posts that put pressure down to the ground when pushing down on the arm ends when getting out and that feature is nice, except on smooth surfaces like a carpeted porch or grass the back of the chair slides backwards, so much care and attention is required. The chair is comfortable to sit and rock. we had to return these because of the low seat height. The refund was easy but the seller charged $24 for return UPS shipping, and there was no option for the UPS store or Kohls free drop off. We found some 20" chair height non-rocking but padded chairs on Amazon that are GREAT for half the cost of these. ... show more

My daughter bought these for her and her family for the grandkids' soccer games and when I tried hers, I had to have them for myself. They are a little pricey but they are so comfortable. I love the wider seat (my camp chairs are 20 years old and much smaller), love the pouch for my phone so I can use the cup holder for my water bottle, love the mesh back for coolness, and love being able to rock while watching the game or practice.
