I have been looking for a new camping chair for the past several months. My husband and I like to go camping and also sit with friends outdoors around a campfire. So in the past, I’ve always bought the collapsible chairs that come in a bag that were relatively inexpensive. They usually were under $20. Those types of chairs only lasted about 2 years before they would break down. I decided to upgrade this year to a new chair. I debated back and forth between a collapsible chair, an anti gravity chair, or a rocker. Each type of chair had its own pros and cons beginning with value, portability, use, and construction. By and far, the rocker is the best choice. The GCI Freestyle Rocker is on the more expensive side compared to other chairs, but you get what you pay for. The first thing you notice is that there are no bags that it fits in, which is great because who wants to keep up with a bag when you go out. Next, the chair lays flat until you push down on the seat to set it up. Super easy to do, even a child could do it. The material that the seat is made of is very well made and comfortable to sit on. The frame that holds the seat seems very strong. The rocking action is the best part! You seem to move forward and backward with very little effort. When you choose to stop and get out of the chair, it doesn’t seem unstable at all. The bonus to this particular chair was the attached table. No worries to hook or unhook a table that may get lost. The table is affixed with hinges that seemed very strong. The table has 2 cup holders, a place for a cell phone that included a hole for a charging cord, and a cutout that is probably meant for a wine glass stem. There is also room for a book or plate on that same table. All in all this table has now become a favorite in my household and the chair that all our friends gravitate too when we have social events. I would definitely recommend this chair to others and may even buy some more for when company comes to visit. ... show more

The rocker came packaged well. Just pull it out of the box, remove the plastic, open it up to the "sit" position and sit down and rock. I will say, I hope it gets easier to open because right out of the box, it is stiff and difficult to open. Hopefully after using a while, it will get easier. I'm so glad I bought these! I'm only 5 ft! Heavy bulky chair are hard for me to carry!! Not these chairs! There is a handle on the side and it isn't heavy at all! Easy to fold with a pull of a handle (that you can also carry frim too) I like that it is comfortable and breathable! The extra large aspect is great for all sizes! (I like to crisscross my legs). There is a spot for your phone and the cup holder is amazing! It can hold a yeti or Stanley no problem! The rocking aspect is my husband's favorite (we had to buy two!) Christmas Gift for my large teen son who loves star gazing. He has autism and loves to rock but some chairs aren't sturdy enough for his 6ft 250lb frame. This is sturdy but also comfortable and the rocking function feels strong and reliable. It's pretty heavy I don't think you would want to carry across the football field or hiking but to bring on vacation or outdoors for star gazing or campfire time this is an awesome chair! We enjoyed having it in the Living Room for our Christmas party and using it while playing games. If you plan to sit long, you may want the added comfort of buying a seat pad/cushion, but that goes for ANY folding chair. ... show more
