I’ve been using this mat for a bit and really like it. It does take about a day outside in the sun to really flatten out but that’s due to the thickness. It seems to have great durability, and is good quality. I think it’s a good value for the thickness you get and it should function well as a training aid or just having fun in the back yard. What I like: +Heavy mat. I left it lay flat in my garage for over a week so it worked out the curl from being packaged. +Comes with 4 different mats. 3 to simulate various greens and one for swing practice. I have that mat but it's small and when my swing is too low, I take a chunk out of the lawn. No more of that with the. +Three Tee cutouts with a rubber tee and a rubber tee base to hold your own tees. +Came with a few lightweight practice balls. They are nothing to write home about but you don't have to worry about whacking them and breaking a window or denting siding. I didn't think that they would go far but my first drive traveled straight about 90 yards over a tall fence, between tree limbs and landed in my neighbors yard. After that one, I was lucky to hit the ball straight, or for more than 20 yards. If only I can do that with a real ball during a round of golf. +Also came with a pretty nice golf towel. Not some trinket addition that these companies like to add but a good quality towel. This worked great in my backyard to protect my grass; although I cannot stand on it because it's like putting a heavy rug over thick pile carpet. But the tees and changeable golf mats are close to the edge so you can stand on your grass and practice hitting the ball. Grass surface gives you a more natural feeling anyway and this is to protect your lawn against divots. For a hard surface, it is sweet. Just like going to the driving range. Couple it with a net, and you can drive balls in your basement (assuming you have a tall ceiling), or the garage. In the winter, I set up a golf net in my basement and practice my swings with a real ball. My only beef (and this is a pet peeve of mine) is the stupid photos the Mfr uses for this product. Gimme a break, photo-shopped unrealistic scenarios? You are NOT going to put this on the grass and stand on it. It just will not work for that. You will stand off to the side and use hot that way, but not on it as I described in the previous paragraph. I usually deduct one star for the cop-out photo description but am feeling generous and like this mat lots. ... show more

If you want a large hitting mat that's easy on the joints and has numerous practical uses, this is the one for you. The 24mm thickness is great for us golfers that tend to hit the ball fat. I'm a 13 handicap and I love the fact that this mat actually has patches for different thicknesses of rough and different slopes. I've not seen very many large mats with all these options. It's been very durable and thus far no rips at all in the turf. It comes with everything you need. The plastic tees are not the greatest, but they are functional. I'd definitely recommend this mat over most of the others I've used in the past. Super nice...5 stars ... show more
