Long, long ago I actually bought a used Herman Miller Aeron from my employer at a discount. I ended up selling it after several years (for the exact amount I paid) because it cut into my thighs a bit and it lacked a head rest, but was otherwise a tough and comfortable chair. I’ve been looking for something of comparable quality for years. I wanted mesh for its cooling ability. Based also on the highly adjustable arm rests and the head rest, my wife and I bought two of these chairs. I will revisit this review over time. But for now the product gets five stars on value and price for features. They have really reverse engineered the best parts of the old Aeron including the big and tall size. They have done a so-so job with the instructions. Look for the sheet inside the seat back package. For reference I am 6’3” and weigh 19 stone/265 lbs. The best feature is the arm rests, which I have extended to max height. I’m showing the standard seat tilt and lock lever and the seat back. When you tilt back, if you’re big like me you might hear the seat back click into or out of the groove. That might become a failure point. You can see I opted for the roller skate wheels which add a bit of height to the seat. A common failure point of the Aeron is the mesh back. Over time, a gordo like me will stretch out the mesh to where I’m hitting the frame when I sit down. I strongly recommend buying the Asurion product insurance. If you don’t think twice about investing in quality tools, I’d get this as well to beef up the mfrs warranty especially since they’re overseas. Considering I expect this piece to last us at least 2 years, it’s a few cents per day to get free repairs or parts. Good luck with your decision. Update: I've used the chair for one month with the roller skate wheels. First, I LOVE the armrests. Second, I LOVE the seat tilt to put my feet up away from the computer. I noticed that the lumbar "cushion" tended to push out too far. After finagling with it I finally discovered how to use the level on the left side of the lumbar panel. You need to lift this up while pushing the mesh panel back. This will let you change the depth. It's easiest to do this while sitting. After posting my review, the company reached out to me and offered either a refund or parts to fix my chair. Given that I like the chair, I opted to get the parts to fix it. The parts arrived today and I'm back in business. Their customer service when out of their way to make things right, which they didn't have to do. I'm impressed. I'm upping my review from 2 stars to 4. I wish the warranty was longer than 30 days. Maybe the company can review that policy given that they do have a good product. I really liked this chair when it arrived. It was a bit hard to put together, but after completing the task, I found the chair fit my 6'2" frame pretty well. The lumbar and head rest fit me well. Unfortunately, this chair lasted about 5 months before the metal holding one of the casters to the base broke loose at the weld, ruining the chair. Amazon only allows 30 days for customer support on this chair. If you are a larger person, like me, please beware. ... show more

The chair is great. Comfortable and I like all of the adjustments. After having it for a year there are a few things to note. 1) Due to the chairs material on the back rest, the chair will catch on your shirts if you slide up and down while adjusting. Not a big deal, but something to note over leather chairs. 2) The chair does seem excesivly nosy now. Anytime I move there's a creek or a squeek out of it. Rather loud I'd say too. This is really the only downside that I've found with this chair. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm guessing some oil will help. Great chair! ... show more

I opened the box, took out all the material and found there were no instructions included with this thing. I tried to search online for the model and company but found no details other than this Amazon posting which I found suspicious. But I figured I would take an educated guess at putting it together. Luckily I think I got everything where it needs to be. 1 week post assembly: Pros: I'm a tall guy, 6'2", and this fits my height perfectly. The arms adjust up and down nicely and click into place. The lumbar support has been great and I feel a huge difference compared to my old chair. After some much needed tinkering I found that the back height is adjustable, using the grey button in the back, but know this...pushing the button in locks it in place, getting the button out is what allows you to adjust it up and down. The neck rest also is adjustable height which is great. It has 3 locking positions for the reclining feature which are easy enough to adjust. It came with 2 sets of casters, the Rollerblade wheels and the standard casters which was nice. I really like the Rollerblade wheels, they are easy to use on hardwood or carpet and they add a little extra height to the chair. Cons: well, obviously not including an instruction booklet. The arm rests are "4D" kind of...it moves up/down, forward/backward, slide in/out, and swivels. Typical 4D arm rests also move completely out of the way by pushing them up and they should become parallel to the backrest. The actual seat does not adjust forward/backwards which would be nice as this hits about the midway on my thigh. So if you aren't settled properly, you'll soon feel it dig in, which...I guess is a good reminder to sit properly. So far, I mean, you get what you pay for. It is a decently priced chair that can fit a tall person well enough and has a level of customizability. Don't expect this to feel or work like a $2,000 ergonomic chair, you'll be disappointed, but for what I spent on it... Im contented. Will update more if it becomes necessary ... show more
