Long story short I have a 15 year old flat screen TV/DVD combo. The DVD player in the TV just stopped working. It's much cheaper to buy a dvd player than it is to buy a whole new TV and on top of that buy a dvd player! We are firm believers of "if it's not broken don't fix it". TV still works great so there's no reason to replace it just because the DVD player decided to call it quits after 15 years. On to the portable DVD player: This DVD player is SUPER LIGHT, made me pretty uneasy upon opening it. However, it works GREAT! I hooked it up with HDMI input. Picture quality is exactly the same as my TV there's no difference. The sound quality is a little lower than my TV. I used to be able to able to watch DVD's on volume 1 and now in order to hear it I have to raise it to volume 3. Not a big deal. The DVD player is quiet and works well. The remote works well, fast and receptive. No complaints! March 2023 Product ended up being defective, so far I'm out $38. Contacted amazon, the only thing they were able to tell me is that the product is defective, then sent me an email to their troubleshooting page, which tells me NOTHING about what to do with the product itself. The DVD player gets noisy, spins my disc super fast making it skip scenes. I have brand new discs that were never played before and it does this. I contacted the ToJock company, which offers a 1 year warranty on their products, so I'll be back with an update when they get back to me. ... show more

    • Compact DVD Player
This is a really compact player that is easy to move from one TV set to another. There is no set-up, you just connect it to the set and plug it in an outlet. It plugs in via USB and a plug-to-USB converter was included. It comes with a remote and both an HDMI cord & RCA cord, but no batteries for the remote. The remote is small, but doesn’t have too many extra buttons. It plays commercial discs and those I recorded with my old Panasonic DVD recorder & with my newer Magnavox recorders. My British discs played with no problems. I could not get the one USB recording that I own to play. The player just kept flashing between read and stop until I removed it. Unfortunately, when the unit is turned on there’s a lot of feedback noise until it reads a disc. Once the disc is playing, the noise isn’t noticeable. Neither the unit, nor the remote has a manufacturer’s name on it. The screen saver has the ToJock as does a paper insert, but the manual has a different name. ... show more

Very disappointed with this device used very little for a camper for kids and it decided to just to power itself off. got it on the powered back on then it went off again and will not come back on to get the disc out even changing the outlet it is plugged into does not make a difference Would not recommend ... show more
