After removing it from the box, I was able to hook it up in under 2 minutes. Very simple. The picture and sound is great. It has a USB connection, allow me to easily play media files from external storage devices, expanding the functionality of the player beyond just DVDs, it is very suitable for all the family. The media could not be loaded. I wanted a small DVD player but didn’t want to give up all the features and this little gem delivered. You can see in the pictures that necessary cables are included so you just need 2 AAA batteries to get started. The player projects a great picture and the pause shows a crisp picture. There are selections for wide formats, slow motion, and zoom which all worked as they should. There are subtitles available in English, Spanish, and French. Well worth the money! ... show more

I am quite impressed with this DVD player. First is the small size, it will fit anywhere and the front panel controls will be fully accessible. The control's buttons are straight forward and work with one touch. The last one I owned if you didn't have the remote you were out of luck . The remote is simple so anyone can use it. Then the directions are so Eady to understand and have every option of connecting available. If you are capable of buying a TV nowadays then you will have no issues connecting this DVD player to your TV no matter how technology challenge you may be. I purchased a small projector and this is about the same size so now on camping trips and a power converter we can watch movies on the trip. ... show more

UPDATE: The Amazon seller, Tojock, contacted me (persistently) and offered to send me a better/upgraded replacement DVD player in hopes that I would remove or amend the review below. While the new unit does run more quietly, it still presents many of the same issues as the previous unit! The HDMI cord included doesn't work (I used my own cord just to continue testing the player), the movie wouldn't stretch to fill my wide screen TV, and the resolution was poor. I wish I could rate the product more highly given that their customer service is wonderful, but I just can't. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I ended up returning this DVD player after watching two movies with it. The red light was annoying, the "working" sound was too loud while it played, the HDMI connection wouldn't work (had to use the 3-prong AV connector, which was included), and the picture quality seemed low even when I chose the highest resolution. I had so much trouble getting the movies to play full wide screen (even after contacting the company and troubleshooting per their advice, one never had the right display ratio), and the movies glitched (stopped playing randomly) at least twice. ... show more

It worked like a top for the first 13 months, then failed spectacularly--loud noises, wouldn't turn off unless unplugged. UPDATE: On the basis of this review, they sent me another one! Very nice of them. I do like this player better than the one I had purchased to replace it--the remote and the controls on the player are much easier to use, and it has additional features.
