  • Tiny Nana(96) has independence
Style: G-Red
My 96 year old grandmother broke her hip a few months ago. She used to be fairly active for her age before that, but the break really slowed her down. I live 2 blocks down the street from her and she used to walk down often, but under the circumstances obviously she can’t anymore. She became depressed and moved around even less. She refuses to move in with me, and my tribe won’t fit in her house, so I surprised her with the scooter in case she needs to get to me for any reason. She has really perked up and visits almost daily for lunch and a bit of gossip! She aspires to drive around our quiet neighborhood and go to the corner store for a soda like she used to before she broke her hip. It has given her back a sense of the life she thought she would have to totally give up. Also, it makes her “feel like less of a burden” because she can zip down to my house for a meal instead of me “catering to her” and dropping meals off to her. (Her words, not mine!) When delivered, the box is heavy, but I managed to get it in the house by myself (42F). The scooter was easy to assemble and charge. She is a tiny woman (4’10”, 75lbs) and has only made little 4 block round trips daily for about two weeks, so the battery has almost a full charge still. Our street is bumpy with lots of potholes, so she keeps it on slow mode most of the time for safety, but the fast mode on a smooth surface (grocery store/newer street) would be fine. It has no shocks so taking a bump makes it feel very unstable. Also I would think that tall people might not have enough legroom. She is able to maneuver it easily, and the steering takes a very light touch. It meets her needs perfectly, and it was a fairly economical choice, compared to other models I priced. Having a little help to keep active has really lifted her spirits and restored her independence and dignity. Just keep in mind she is little and light, and uses the scooter less than an hour a day. If you are in a different situation with different needs, your outcome may very well be different. ... show more

  • Great scooter
Style: G-Blue
Haven't used it much yet, but very pleased with the easy assembly and sturdiness. Made well and sure to last a long time! If there were 10 stars I would give it a 10!

  • Out of the box great!
I've added to this regarding usage experience. Separating the parts for loading is easy. Loading into our SUV goes great. The individual components are lighter and easier to load than a wheel chair. Works great, easy to maneuver. Speed control is responsive. People have commented on how easy it is to load after seeing me in the grocery store parking. Just recieved and assembled it. Super easy! Don't know about the performance yet, I'll update that after we've used it some. Notes on receiving and assembly: 1. The box is heavy. 100 pounds heavy. You may need help. You will need some sort of wheeled device to move it. (If you don't have anything, buy a two wheeler from Lowes or Home Depot. Use it this once, clean it up, and return it for refund. Just say you changed your mind.) 2. Lay the box flat on the floor. Right side up. Cut the straps and carefully cut the tape. Don't cut deep. Open the box and take out the easy stuff. Read the two page instructions. No, really read them. 3. After you take out the easy stuff, cut all 4 corners of the box to lay it flat. This will give you easy access to the rest of the parts. 4. Following the instructions, complete the assembly. Charge the battery 12 hours! If you want to move the assembled scooter look on the right rear fender. Little lever with pictures on the sticker. Move the lever forward and roll the scooter where you want to. Move the lever back to lock. 5. Clean up and dispose of the packing. Sit down with your preferred beverage and read the instruction book like I'm getting ready to. ... show more

  • Good value point scooter.
Style: M1 Yellow Ry
It's easy setup. Runs good and has a sensativy dial so you can tune it down for beginners or for close quarters usage. The seat is not very high even on the highest setting. Also not allot of leg room for taller people. Over all good scooter for the cost. Arrived in good condition within 5 days of purchasing. ... show more

  • Great little scooter
Style: M1 PLUS BLUE
My mom loves it! She is 88 and doesn't get around very well but she is able to have some independence because of her new scooter. My only issue is that the back of the seat will not lock into the up position. She must leave it folded down when she's not in it. If it is up and she would fall and grab for it, it would fold down and she would fall. The last picture shows in folded down. She is 4'11" and 210. It is the right size for her. We adjusted the arm rests and seat height for her. I rode it! It goes pretty fast but we had to turn the knob down for her! She will speed up in time!! It will creep along! I am 5'1" and 70 but pretty good shape (so far) and was able to get it in and out of my suv by myself. I took off the battery, the seat and the basket. (Which is really good quality). I can not lift the scooter. But I could put the front wheels up in the car (there is a handle on the front) and then picked up the backend and rolled it in! It wasn't to hard doing it that way. The controls are like the ones on the scooters at Walmart etc. It is not real comfortable but she should not be sitting in it all day. But comfortable enough. I recommend this scooter so far! It even came a day earlier than expected!! ... show more
