  • Smooth sailing so far!!!
Style: Electric Scooter
After issues that resulted in my local city canceling their contract with the rideshare E-scooters that were provided to my area, I was forced to seek alternate transportation by ordering this very same scooter. Even though the delivery was a day later than promised, the wait was well worth it. I know very little about scooter assembling and the instructions were kind of vague, but I managed to get it up and together in less than 30 minutes. I was used to a scooter that would give me a top speed of 15MPH. This scooter does about 20MPH, provided that you're not weighed down with a heavy backpack and on a flat stretch of road with only a minimum of bumps. The LED lighting was awesome. Word to the wise, though. The instructions were vague on exactly what is needed to do for the headlight to turn on. Once you have the LED display lit up on the small screen provided, push the one button twice. Not rapidly, or it won't turn on at all. Took me 2 days to understand this or the lights won't work at all. There are 3 speeds to this scooter. All can be worked with just an additional push of the button. All in this order... The blue light is 1st speed: Top speed is 9 miles an hour. This is a very good speed for first-time riders not comfortable with a big burst of speed. The orange light is 2nd speed: Top speed is 15 miles an hour. This is just as fast as the maximum speed for most scooters out there for sale. I recommend not going any faster than this speed if you're encountering a lot of heavy traffic. Actually, to keep on the safe side, my average speed of commute in my bustling city is 12MPH. The red light is 3rd speed: Top speed is 19 miles an hour, even though I saw my LED display flicker to 20 for a few seconds on a good stretch of road. Not a recommended speed for when there are cars and pedestrians all over the place. People may think that this is slow, but on a scooter with your body mostly unprotected just inches off the ground, this is extremely fast and dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. I wouldn't recommend this speed for first-timers just getting adjusted to the operational maneuvering of a basic e-scooter. I keep my scooter well-maintained and it operates very well without much problems. Caution: Maintain the screws that you have to screw in on the handlebars. If you don't have some liquid adhesive that'll keep them in place and you tend to ride down a street/sidewalk with a lot of bumps on it, the screws tend to come a bit loose after several blocks. Keep a screwdriver handy--the one that is sent with the scooter will do just fine, and tighten those things back up. That is the only problem I really have to address about the scooter, but then again, it's a moving vehicle and just like your average car/truck/van/motorbike, it has to be maintained and kept in good running condition. A few minutes of looking it over every day isn't going to be a problem. There are a few bumpy roads in my neighborhood. Going in 3rd gear a lot of the time, my scooter isn't going to go above 17MPH on a straight level because of all the bumps it tends to hit, which slows the scooter down. But that's still faster than the 15MPH that my local rideshare scooters could ever do. This scooter is a reliable vehicle. NOT a toy, as some people might think. Those toys are the little scooters that children have to push off with their feet every few seconds just to maintain forward motion. I don't have to worry about flat tires, but because there ARE wires poking out of the scooter frame, it's good to do a check on them to guarantee that they are in good shape. Dust off your taillight so that it can remain visible to other people at night, keep the screws tightened, just a basic few minutes a day will do. The instructions say that there is a downloadable phone app that helps you with this scooter mainly on how far you've ridden and stuff like that. I didn't trust my scooter with that app since it doesn't have an option on locking it down so that thieves can't get ahold of it. Other scooters apparently have that option. I'm still looking at lock options for mine, so be sure to look at those options for yourself to keep it from being stolen. I'll update this post if I feel the need to! ... show more

  • Poor quality!

For about three weeks now, I have been trying to contact the supplier to claim the product warranty, but I have been unable to get in touch. After three months of use, the scooter started having issues with its screws loosening, requiring me to constantly tighten them. It has reached a point where tightening the screws no longer works, leaving the scooter unstable, very shaky, and noisy, making it extremely unsafe. At the same time, I reached out to Asurion insurance, but they informed me that my product is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, and therefore, they cannot assist me. They are waiting for an accident occurs. ... show more

Edit: Its been a few years since I had this...its still going strong. The suspension is shot but still gets me from point A to B...I'm shocked it lasted. I ordered this scooter via Amazon Prime and it arrived in about 4 days. The box itself is about 40LB's, its fairly large but can be lifted by one person. When you open this bad boy up, the handle bars, manual. power adapter and some screws/tools are separated from the scooter but the scooter is fairly large and required removal of a bunch of foam padding - be prepared to vacuum after. Alright, once you get everything out, 4 screws (included) are required to mount the handles and 2 handle bars get installed (the handle bars are threaded so its easy to install them). You can adjust the brake lever as you wish and tighten it, plug in the power cable and charge it. Keep in mind the power LED (red for charging, green for fully charged) is not on the scooter but on the charger converter itself. I set it up and put it for charge. I got overly excited and about 3 hours later (it was still charging based on the red LED) - I took this scooter outside. Its a big heavy, roughly 30LB+ so going up and down a flight of stairs is not the easiest but doable. Once outside, I powered it on and the LED screen showed a S, 00 for MPH and a battery bar showing what I assume was a full charge. I weigh 260LB, I'm about 5'9" so yea a large guy but this thing is fast, balanced and easy to use. I havent rode a bike or a scooter in about ten years so I was a bit nervous at first but within 1 minute I got the hang of it. Its fast, has 3 modes and I tried all three. The fastest mode goes up to 18MPH, the slowest caps off at 8 MPH. Once you hit the max MPH for the setting, the scooter will "beep." The scooter has a red rear light and a white bright front light, requires you to press the power button three times to use the lights. Now for the actual review part...I consider myself a kid at heart, I love some things and grew up in a time when kids rode bikes and played outside in groups until the sun came down. This scooter brought me back to that time. My wife was outside and couldnt believe how excited i got with this what we assumed was a toy at point of order...boy are we wrong - this thing is no toy, its rugged, fast and very well built. The tires are solid, the braking system is very well built and even without the braking system the scooter drops speed fast allowing you to slow down quickly. What shocked me the most was even without a kick/push start this scooter accelerated from a dead start. Meaning you can literally put your weight on this, twist the throttle and it goes. Should have bought this sooner. I wrote this review on my own, I have not been approached by the retailer or anyone. I spent about 2 weeks researching other scooters prior to buying this one. I have not tested the app yet. ... show more
