I use this stand to hold an iPad Pro 12.9”, in an Apple Smart Keyboard folio (folded around the back, book style), while I’m at my desk typing with an Apple Magic Keyboard. That way, when I’m at my desk, I have the superior keyboard right below the iPad in this stand, and when I have to run to a meeting, I can just pick-up the iPad from the stand and have the attached Smart Keyboard cover. This stand is nearly perfect, and I mean that. First, it’s incredibly stable. The adhesive is rock-solid when attached to a smooth desktop, and the hinge is nicely stiff. I can poke hard at the iPad Pro, and it’s not going anywhere. The iPad isn’t quite as stable when it’s in portrait mode as it is in landscape, but it’s still perfectly serviceable. The hinge that allows you to control a nearly infinite (usable) viewing angle is nicely stiff and shows no signs of slipping, even when holding the 12.9” Pro in its keyboard case—fantastic. I have literally only one reservation about the stand, and that is related to the adhesive under the pedestal. It’s a thick sheet of what feels like a “sticky” adhesive; it’s not a micro-suction pad. Therefore, once you put it down, I’m not sure what it’s going to be like when it’s removed and/or if it could be relocated to another area and have any “stick” left. You need to be REALLY sure where you’re putting it when you peel off the protective layer over the adhesive base. (You CAN use the stand without peeling off the adhesive, but if it’s on a smooth surface, even the slightest touch on the iPad will push the stand along with it.) If you’re looking for a product like this, however, I highly, highly recommend it. EDITED TO ADD: I’ve had this stand about six months now. I’m never satisfied with my iPad in a desktop form, so I keep going back and forth to different setups. I come back to this stand a LOT. The extra height it gives an iPad off the desk is great, and the swivel is still as firm/smooth as the day I bought it. ALSO, I’ve taken it on and off of my desk probably 100 times (being careful to put back on the plastic sheet that it came with to cover the sticky part when I put it away), and it seems to stick just as well the 100th time as it did the first time, so my fears about that have been answered. I’m moving my review from four to five stars because it’s just that good. ... show more

This is a great iPad stand and holder. I have tried so many and this one is by far my favorite and the best yet. It isn't a big stand by any means and yet it is mighty in performance. I really like how easy it is to adjust at any angle easily without having to screw any knobs but instead it stays at any angle securely just by tilting it up or down. It also has a very nice bottom that actually sticks to the table surface and doesn't move. The quality is excellent and the price is worth every penny. This mighty little stand is good for any size tablet and yes even the iPad pro size. I am currently typing easily while tipping it upward at a really nice angle and I love that it can charge the pad easily in the stand. I plan to use my blu tooth keyboard with my pad and it will sit nicely under the iPad when not in use for a very nice and neat look. This also will be great to use when watching videos or when using the iPad as my cookbook. It was very well thought out and I am glad that Amazon carried it. I love Amazon for having so many choices and making it easy to find just what I'm looking for. This stand would make a perfect gift since just about everyone has a pad of some kind now and would always have a use for it. ... show more

Works good with my iPad but the sticky base is better if you do not want to move it. If mobility is important then you will need to do what they recommend which is leave the plastic film on the base. The problem with this is the plastic film is very slick and your iPad then has a tendency to slide around. Would be nice if plastic where rough on the side that does not adhere to the sticky part of the base (ie the side that sits on the surface of your table). This rough surface would then provide much needed friction to prevent the base from sliding all around. 10 Feb 2018 changed my review from 3 stars to 5 stars based upon the following: 1) Was contacted by OMOTON who were concerned enough about my dissatisfaction with the product to offer me a partial refund. Customer satisfaction appears to be very important to this company which I feel is extremely important for us as customers. 2) They have a very good product with with this tablet stand but the design drawback was something that I felt obligated to point out to potential customers. 3) The design drawback can be easily fixed with a piece of syrofoam that can be cut out of some discarded packing material from many electronic products (see attached photo). The plastic film can be removed from the base of the stand exposing the sticky surface and the syrofoam attached to the sticky surface (instead of attaching the sticky surface to your desktop where it becomes simi-permanent). In this manner the syrofoam provides the much needed additional friction that the plastic film does not provide and keeps the stand from sliding all around. In addition, the syrofoam does not stick all that well to the sticky surface and therefore can be easily removed and the plastic film reatached if one would want to. 4) I relayed my comments to OMOTON and they are considering adding a small piece of syrofoam to there future shipments of this stand. In my mind this is the sign of a responsive customer support company. Ont that I am wiling to support in the future. P.S. I refused to accept OMOTON's offer for a partial refund and have changed my rating based upon the ease of fixing the problem and the responsiveness of the company as to my satisfaction. ... show more

This stand can securely hold my 2.5 pound 10 inch Samsung S6 in its cover in either portrait or landscape mode. It is metallic with rubber feet to keep it from slipping and it has rubber pads to avoid scratching my tablet. The hinge is sturdy but very adjustable.
