  • Great Overall Package
I write "package" here because for me this ended up being more than just the battery. The versatility of this product with the charger is really a huge selling point that I didn't even know about before I bought it. I bought this as a backup battery about 5 months ago to use for my laptop while on the go, as I do a lot of heavy 3D rendering and video editing, I lose battery like nothing else. Being able to get a few more hours out of use on the go is huge for me. But I found myself also using the charger included with this more often than the actual battery. I use the battery while I am on the go, and now use this charger as my on the go charger (as it also has 2 included fast chargers that allow me to charger my phone or other camera accessories quickly off the same charger as my laptop. Then having the fast charger on the battery itself along with 3 USB ports, I pretty much am always good to go. Being able to charge the battery while also charging my laptop is a big plus too. There are a few things you should know. The battery (as all batteries do) has a bit of weight to it. I don't consider this a con, but you should be aware of it as it is an "on the go" product and you are most likely carrying it in your laptop bag. It also can get kind of hot when fast charging a phone or charging the laptop. I have had this problem with pretty much any fast charger, and they included a great lightweight breathable mesh bag that I keep the battery in which allows me to not worry about it overheating and still pick it up without worrying about the heat. (Not sure exactly how hot it has gotten before, I have never measured it, but I know it has gotten hot enough where you would not want to hold it for more than a little bit.) I think this is just more the nature of large batteries like this... electricity makes heat. But again you should be aware. Other things to note: I never use the flashlight. It's cool I guess, though not very bright. Definitely not why you are buying this though. The button I found confusing a little, to begin with. I am sure they explain it in the paperwork that came with the battery but... its a battery so I never really read it haha. Anyway, it seems there are 2 types of power outputs. One signified by the lights all being green, the other by them all being red. So changing between (I think its 15v and 12v, not sure) is signified through that. Also whether the battery is on or off is hard to tell, I think it just turns on when something is plugged in and turns off when something isnt? So the lights are really just indicated battery level when you click them but I am not sure. The charging level indicator isn't always super accurate for me while it is plugged in. Sometimes it will say it is at 1 (of 4) dots but when I unplug it it corrects itself and says it is fully charged. I have only experienced that a few times. Nothing that has ever slowed me down, but something to note. I have never had any issues with the charger itself (it has only ever gotten slightly warm) and none of the things listed above were really "issues" for me with the battery but I wanted to be transparent. Overall I was considering buying this for a long time and am glad I finally did, it was a little bit of an investment but it gave me the confidence to be able to work on larger projects on the go without worrying about having to stop in the middle or losing something because my battery died. P.S. I did have a brief issue with the surface connect cable they sent me. It worked great for 5 months and then the rubber where it meets the connector started to melt a little bit. Not sure if this was something caused by me not having it plugged in all the way but I stopped using it immediately and contacted their support and they shipped me a new one no questions asked. I assume this was just a fluke cable issue as I hadn't really seen anyone else having this problem. So I wouldn't consider it too much while making your purchase, and they had a quick and very helpful customer service experience directly on their website. ... show more

  • Well built, and works as advertised
I'm a photographer, and I shoot tethered to a Microsoft Surface Pro 6 on location. Ideally, I would prefer to be able to plug into a wall socket, or a power strip. Unfortunately, I'm not always afforded that luxury. In that occasion, the computer's battery should carry me through the shoot. Afterward, I review the photos with my team, and the client. By that time, the computer's battery is usually starting to wane. Then I have to hunt for an outlet, if not that's the end of the team review process. This is where the BatPower ProE 2 ES7B became the best solution to that problem. This particular model comes with the Surface cable that is unique to the charging interface for the Surface Pro 6. This isn't the largest power source of this line of power packs, but I've read its small enough that you won't have trouble taking it on a plane. With the Computer powered off, the power pack has enough power to fully re-charge the Surface Pro 6 once, and have a little juice left over for a phone. Or if needed, it will charge the computer while its on, as well. That's one of components of this power pack that interested me the most. Its the perfect power pack for my purposes. Moving forward I'm sure I'll find other uses for it as it charges most tablets and phones. Its good stuff. ... show more

  • Mostly works as intended after 30 months. Mostly
So first and foremost, I purchased this for work travel. The Battery is great at keeping my phone charged and anything small I need to charge when no outlet is available. Cons- 1) the end of the Surface charger (cap) popped off and is just open. 2) I have never been able to power my laptop using the only the Brick. Always needed the brick into the battery to my Surface. 3) The battery dies when it is plugged into the Surface by itself. I absolutely love this battery but not for charging my Surface. ... show more

  • Portable battery works well
So the battery itself works really well. On long days, it is capable of keeping my Surface pro 7 charged and my phone (previously a Note 8 now a Note 20 Ultra). I can charge my note 20 ultra between 5-6 times. We took it camping for a few days and charged 2 note ultras and still had about a quarter of juice left. Over all the battery is great. IT can even charge my surface pro 7 for about 4-5 times. The issue is the charger for the battery itself it is a 120w charger with 2 USB 3.0 outputs. Model on their website states S120B. The thing is this brick/charger alone is about $50. So when mine broke within the warranty period I reached out to them via email and within a day or two I had a "replacement" on the way. I got a 90W charger instead of the 120W... I have since then been trying to reach them to return the 90W charger and get the correct one But have received no responses in the past 2-3 weeks once I received the incorrect charger. It may not seems like much but the 30W difference is pretty significant when you are talking about time it takes to charge the power bank or other devices like a surface pro 7. Couple that with the fact that the original brick had 2 USB 3.0 with quick charge capability vs the one that I got sent and you start to see the issues. Almost all current devices now use some version of fast charging or quick charging. and I honestly am not a fan of waiting 4+ hours for a phone to charge, or 6+ for a tablet. ... show more
