With only 15 minutes of weed eating run time and a quick test of the rest, dismiss the 5 star except for a quality feel..... 2 hours later of doing battle with a grab happy 3 year old, I got it assembled. Do a quick once over to check EVERYTHING is tight. If you've tinkered with lawn equipment before, you can get it together, but I'd suggest YouTube (it's generic all brand X that looks the same is the same) for assembly. It feels decent for what it is and seemed to have plenty enough power to make things interesting with all the attachments. If I don't update this, it's well worth the money for what you get. It's a 52cc do it all... so expect the weight and bulk of it, because it's a heavy beast.. Also make sure that you fully connect the attachments and double check that. It's a tad tricky, but nothing you can't get used to.I'll be using it commercially for land clearing jobs, and I do put all my equipment to the test, so if there's no update saying it's junk..... you should probably buy it. ๐Ÿ˜‚ UPDATED 20+ hours of tortur... um.. use for my brush clearing business... yeah well worth it if you can handle it. Broke the guard on the pole saw, super customer service (2 better that I deal with but I deal with them regularly) and super fast parts replacement. Be mindful that it's cheap plastic and they do cut costs on stuff, so don't slam it into things. I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE ON OFF BUTTON.... you'll learn yourself to avoid turning it off when using it. It's a little cold natured when starting, but once it fires up... it's a beast with plenty of power. Thought I never used the string head, I'd say invest in a better one right off... then again I do that with name brand ones as well. ... show more

Reached out to support for replacement parts as the control area has damaged threads, turns and slides during use. This causes it to accelerate or twist in use--quite a dangerous problem. So far no affirmed solution. Besides that - this is 4 in 1, there is a t blade not an additional power head. Hence the pictures can be misleading. I questioned this and was informes the box was labelled wrong. ..apart from my problem however all parts are pretty good. The harness clamp on mane seemed to be arranged too far back for balance purposes so needs moving, but have to remove handle first. Unit starts easy no problem, pretty powerful. Idle/power lock doesn't work and can't seem to be adjuated. Maybe a problem with my unit. Quite heavy and with extension pole hard to balance (I'm an not that week), but manageable (if the power control is right and do want slide!!!!!) Duct tape holds it in place for now. Value for money .. if I get the part to fix it great, heavier than a battery unit but for homeowner that uses this several times a year better value than a battery combo setup for 100s more, with more power Updated 11July2022. We live on small farm and needed a pole saw as well as brush cutter all the time. I have an old echo that is best trimmer Iโ€™ve ever own.But having extra trimmer is great bonus and hedge trimmers, Well thatโ€™s just to make my wife happy.So Bought the 5 n 1 Maxtra set.Grease up attachment grease fittings and everything runs works great.Jenna at customer service is fantastic. I was missing a part and she responded fast and made sure was exact part I needed and sent it out right away. The shaft on pole saw broke while cutting a limb. Jenna took care of that also sent out replacement right away. The company stands behind product and I really appreciate their customer service. Something that is very rare these days. Itโ€™s tough job when people arenโ€™t usually happy or nice dealing with customer service but I canโ€™t say enough about how great Jenna was. I hope she is appreciated there. ... show more

    • Poor quality
Would love to say PROs and CONs but this item is for the most part, CON. Was hoping to get a multi-tool with good quality. Attached the pole saw and it worked okay for about 5 minutes... chain off. Again. Again. Then attached the hedge trimmer which is really what I wanted to work well. It will not cut at all. I have house scissors that do a better job. I have a cheapo electric that I can cut all of the front bushes at the house within 5 minutes, no exaggeration this hedge trimmer wouldn't do the same job in an hour. It's like hand sawing with a butter knife. Other issues. The safety shutoff is so cheaply made that it will vibrate to the kill position by itself. The motor is a beast. It takes a while to get started but once it does it runs good. The weight is almost prohibitive. Unless you are 6'2" and going to the gym 3x per week, you will have issues with fatigue. The real deal is it really doesn't matter if it has a good motor, the attachments are real junk and do not cut which makes it unusable.     • Carburetor issues
Overall, the maxtra 5in1 is a powerful piece of equipment and yes it has flaws as many have mentioned. However, after a year of owning this equipment and swapping the trimmer head, I don't regret purchasing the unit. One major flaw I have found is the carburetor jet gets stuck open occasionally during operation and causing issues such as engine flooding and starting issues. You get what you pay for right, LOL.But once the issue is corrected after a quick teardown this thing starts on the first pull and is a beast. I would have given 5 stars but with the carburetor issues and I'm giving this 3 stars. ... show more
