After using the EGO Power+ MPS1001 10-inch Pole Saw extensively in my yard, I must say, I'm quite impressed with its performance. Straight out of the box, the assembly was easy and intuitive, which made getting started a breeze. The saw feels robust and well-built, inspiring confidence in its durability and longevity. The real strength of the MPS1001 lies in its power. Despite being battery-operated, it doesn't lack in performance. It effortlessly cuts through branches that my old pole saw struggled with, making it a valuable tool for any yard work or pruning needs. Adjusting the length of the pole is straightforward and the overall balance of the saw is commendable. This makes it easier to handle, especially when reaching for those high branches. The 10-inch bar and chain are also capable of handling thicker branches, providing a clean cut every time. One particular feature I appreciate is the battery life. It's long-lasting, allowing me to get a substantial amount of work done on a single charge. Plus, the fact that it's part of the EGO Power+ system means I can swap batteries with other EGO tools, adding to its convenience.     • Great performance. I’ve named it Beast. Great trimmer and will cut thick branches, but heavy.
Pattern Name: Attachment Style: 20-In. Hedge Trimmer & Power Head Kit
I like that it is a multi head tool (PH1400) with a large array of attachments. I purchased the multi tool with the hedge trimmer attachment. The trimmer lives up to it’s claim of cutting 1 inch growth, which is why I call it the Beast. If you don’t want it cut, don’t get it close. It is very maneuverable with dual blade rotation. The blade will rotate to a vertical cutting position or a horizontal position. The blade will also tilt on it’s axis allowing you to easily cut the top of a large shrub, or get behind a wall hugging shrub. If it has any drawbacks, it would be the weight and possibly the battery duration. The Hedge trimmer is definitely heavy. This is necessary in order to have long reach, as well as the ability to cut thick growth. This is not a judgement of the weight, just pointing it out. Because of the weight it performs as advertised. The battery life is adequate, and possibly excellent when changing to slow speed. I have an older Ego blower, which uses the same battery. It’s not that old in terms of hours used, and it’s charge duration has weakened significantly. I understand I can purchase batteries with a higher aH rating, but cost is a definite factor. It would be nice to see some type of battery trade in program for customer retention. In summary, I would definitely purchase again, and recommend to anyone. Neighbors have stopped and asked about when I was trimming the top of an ornamental which is 12 feet high. Granted I was on second rung of a small ladder, but that’s impressive. ... show more

Pattern Name: Attachment Style: Edger & Power Head (Bare Tool)
This is the second EGO tool I’ve purchased from their 56-Volt system. The first was the EGO Power+ LB7654 765 CFM Variable-Speed Cordless Leaf Blower. Seeing I already had a 5,000 mAH battery and charger I purchased the new Edger and Power Head unit without the battery and charger option. The EGO Power+ 8-Inch Edger Attachment & Power Head unit is an absolutely fantastic tool. It took me a while to decide on purchasing a battery powered edger. I’ve always used a gas powered edger but my current unit wouldn’t start, again, so I checked out a replacement gasoline plus considered a battery powered unit. Needless to say, I finally decided on the battery powered unit. As a note, this is the second EGO 56 Volt tool I’ve acquired, the other is their blower, and if it’s possible this is an even better tool than the blower. The unit was easy to ASSEMBLE, it only took only a few minutes to check over the accompanying literature and assemble the unit. In terms of USE the edger unit is great. It’s well balanced and very easy to MANEUVER. For my first project I edged more than 400 feet of beds. As a note, I was able to edge more than 300 feet on a single charge of the 5,000 mAH battery, impressive. I’m going to be replacing a number of other gasoline powered tools with battery powered tools and if they’re available, they’ll be from EGO. Again, an absolutely great product. As a note, I have now also purchased the EGO Power+ HTA2000 20-inch Hedge Trimmer Attachment for EGO 56-Volt Multi Head System. I’ll write a review shortly but suffice to say the hedge trimmer works exceptionally. A great tool. ... show more
