Used this on my son's hair turned out great but be prepared it is messy and will bleed for almost two wks no matter how much you rinse or wash it . We rinsed his hair for half hour amd it still wasn't running clear. Then it bleed all over his bedding sheets from his hair, then on his arm and face. But it washed out of his bedding and off his skin pretty easily thank heaven. I will say we probably will never do this color again. Nothing compares to Manic Panics vampire red. I've used it for nearly 30 years and I've tried others but nothing is as good. The price has really shot up and the container is smaller than it used to be but the dye is unmatched.

I saw alot videos online say that the dye stains everything but I was most worried about it staining my bathtub. I was pleasantly suprised to find that it did not stain my tub at all. I have previously dyed red hair and on the parts that were previously dyed, the color is very vibrant, one of the most vibrant reds I've used. That being said my roots,which are originally dark brown, didnt dye as well. You can only see the color in the light. I also have quite long hair and I still have alittle left over using only one container. The only problem I have with the dye is that it has stained my pillows alittle bit. Overall, very pretty, very shiny color...saturation did not take on ANY areas that were not already incredibly porous including new root area which was freshly bleached to a 10, but still very healthy and undamaged leading to a hot root look. Overall I kind of love the look, the mids and ends that came out perfect 👌 I am thrilled, and I ordered an extra jar for a re tone of the root area which had to be kept on longer to fully saturate. So to get to the look shown I did 3 jars on whole head left on for 1.5 hrs. Then a second coat on the root/crown area, left on the 2nd day for another 1.5 hours, then rinsed, shampooed and conditioned with silver stiletto toning shampoo and conditioner and then hit with olaplex 8 mask for 15 minutes and rinsed in cool water, end result was a perfect, creamy silver and gold blond. I have been trying to get this combo for a few years now and this is as close to #GOALS as I think I can get...I am ordering another 4 jars to do a weekly tone before it's time to redo the roots again, and when I do I will leave the color on that root area much longer then the mids and ends and see if I can get it done in one full shot next time. (Used manic panic blue lightening for my root touch up this time and will use that again, as that really gave me hot white roots. ) Having said all that, TL/DR- great silver toner for a level 10 blonde, but it needs incubation time, 2 hours at least....3 hours may be the ultimate silver if you are looking for full on icy silver, but for what I wanted, 2 will likely be my sweet spot. ... show more
