  • Yume Y11+ Review
Style: YMY11PRO 50Miles
Let me start by saying the machine is better than expected and has truly impressed me. I'm using it a new way to commute and stay off public transportation. The Yume Y11+ has far more power than needed and hills are no longer an obstacle. Shipping was superfast as it arrived with two-day shipping for me with Amazon. The lights are bright and work well, the scooter reminds me of the motorcycles I used to ride out in the desert in my younger years. It's highly maneuverable (depending on the skill level of the rider) and gets me out of the way of traffic with power to spare when needed. I've used it to commute for a full week before writing this review. I charged the battery to 98% and used it for 36 miles before the battery indicator read 35% remaining. This is running with the lights on and only using single motor mode for all but the last day. Now the downside of all that power is the length of time to slow charge with a single charger. After 8 hours of charging with a single charger it was only up to 76%. They send you two chargers for a faster charge but remember doing so will shorten the battery lifespan. When running with dual motors engaged you will spin the tires at redlights. The brakes work well, when using the front brake, it has never felt like it wanted to lose control or throw me over the handlebars like others have. I've also not had any problems with the bluetooth connecting to IOS, works well every time I turn it on and I appreciate that the system locks when turned off. I've tossed the NFC key on my ring and basically have just used my phone to unlock it. On delivery the box was in perfect shape with no damage showing so I was happy about that. It took about an hour to put all the gear on (the mirrors and phone holder were cheap plastic) but the extra tires and dual chargers were greatly appreciated. The battery was nearly full charged also so thank you. While going over all the nuts and bolts I notice that one of the bolts holding the body to forks had been rounded out, Yume, you may need to do some quality assurance checking as I'll need to drill this out should I need to replace the steering column. The machine over all is well built and extremely solid, I would not hesitate to set out on a 50-mile round trip with a full charge. Just remember this machine is basically a motorcycle at this power and will be wear you out if you are not used to it. Hats off to Yume for building a great machine! I look forward to riding this for years to come. Update after a year of owning and riding the Yume Y11+. The only problem I've had with this machine is the number of flat tires I've had, nothing to do with the machine itself. I've put over 2k miles on it just using it to commute and it has held up perfectly! Great ride and well-done Yume! Those two 3k watt motors provide more than enough power and speed to get me out of harm's way. ... show more

  • Used no tools or spare road tires nfc fog.
Style: YMY11PRO 50Miles
The media could not be loaded. Scooter was used with no spare road tires, nfc scan fog , and or tool kit. But for the most part it’s a sturdy scooter and fun to ride.

  • 5 stars for the scooter
Style: YMY11PRO 50Miles
2.5 stars for one of the 2 chargers. I'm trying to get a replacement charger but it's a struggle going through Amazon. Amazon customer service was really friendly but I think they purposely beat around the bush hoping you will go away. Anyways you get 2 chargers and you should only use one so not end of the world. This scooter is the best purchase of my life. If you don't have experience on a PEV or you never spent a lot of time on a skateboard it might be a struggle to get comfortable. The scooter is very planted. I can do bunny hops at 30 mph. I don't like to ride one handed but if I need to rub my eye or something it's not too sketchy to do so. The power is effortless and the front tire spins at 20mph. I don't completely like the rear suspension but the more I ride the more I forget about it. The scooter is very heavy but it's also surprisingly easy to lift when folded. I'm going to try emailing the seller and hopefully they will send me a new charger. ... show more

  • Fast, Torqy & Bang For Buck Y11+
Style: YMY11PRO 50Miles
So far I've put 140+ miles and only charged it maybe 3 or 4 times (I weigh about 215 with all my gear and bookbag). So it's pretty dam close to the advertised range, which is never really the case with escooters. Half my ride is with lights on and in mode 3 with dual motors on all the time. My commute is maybe 10 miles a day and I've gotten close to 4 days before having to charge. I've only ever let it go down to like 35%. At that point it throttles itself to like 25-30mph. Charge time is insanely long on a single charger. Over night from around 5pm to the next morning around 5:50am still not at 100%. Maybe around 98% by the time I leave at 5:50am. As you should know using both chargers will reduce the life of the battery so just stay away from doing that unless absolutely necessary. Came pretty quick and didn't have any issues with packaging. I did notice another review they received a broken charger and I did receive mine with a hole in the box and some scratches to it. Not sure where they package these chargers but they seem fragile and to be taking on hits. Other than that everything else is well packaged. The charger however is extremely short. Definitely recommend checking EVERY bolt and screw when you first open it. Found a few loose things. I've only used the thumb throttle and it's good enough for me. Maybe a little too much travel and a little long. Being that this has sine wave controllers I feel they could have put together a throttle with a shorter travel. I find myself only ever using the most inside part of it and resting my thumb on the base of the throttle (the part that doesn't move) to be most comfortable and to have the least amount of fatigue. Personally I'm not too fond of companies branding their product all over the place. So I put some reflective vinyl over the stem logo and removed the deck tape with the massive YUME logo and put my own custom grip tape. My opinion for the tires, it should ship out with the road tires istalled instead. The off road ones that come preisntalled are super loud and annoying. Ever notice a truck drive by with some beefy tires and how loud they are? Yea that's the best comparison I have for that. I took those off after the first test ride lol. Lighting is decent, however I swapped out the headlights, horn(because the stock headlights are the horn) and turn signals to something more sleek and not as bulky as the stock ones. Headlight switch SUCKS. Its very cheap, If you get it just right you can hear the electrical connection zapping. Probably best to not get that wet lol. If possible I'll be swapping that out for a better one. Headlights I feel are bright don't get me wrong, but they're more of a direct spotlight. The lights I installed are flood lights & 100x better than stock for seeing in the distance which is very useful with how fast this thing can go. Not too crazed about the rgb side lighting. Looks like an afterthought. Very out of place. Definitely plan on changing that out in the near future for something a lot more oem looking & with a controller. Not being able to control the rgb lights or having the ability to go with a static color personally drives me nuts lol. Also not being able to choose what lights are on or off is kinda annoying. It's ALL or NOTHING lol. With the headlight I installed I put a killswitch for it to at least be able to keep the headlight off with the other lights on. The red eagle eye LEDs on the front in my opinion should have been white. The horn on the stock lights was blistering loud I will admit. But the one I swapped out to is more of a lower tone similar to a car and a bit louder. Technically it's a motorcycle horn. I found that switching the power/mode/function button attachment to the right side and having the light switch on the left to be a better fit than it all on one side together. Reaching for the horn and signals with the power/mode/function button there was not happening unless you got some VERY long fingers. Otherwise you'll just be playing finger gymnastics tryna reach for it while riding. You don't wanna be looking down trying to find buttons. It only takes that one second to be face down ass up on the pavement... Lol I also swapped out the grips as the stock ones are just slide ons and rotate too much for my liking. The fender seems big and like it will protect you from getting wet in some light rain.... You would think. Got caught in some very light rain & got home with the back of my legs and bookbag SOAKED. But the front of me was basically dry just a little moist... It might be too high away from the wheel to work as intended. I ordered an additional fender on Amazon that bolts onto the wheel studs that will fit under the stock fender. The stem has some flex when extended up all the way so maybe stay away from that last notch. The locking mechanism overall seems secure but regardless has some flex. Something else I noticed with the stem is no matter how tight you make the clamp it can be rotated. I had a VSETT8 and the stem wasn't in a perfect circle to combat this issue. It was kind of a oval rectangle. If YUME were to take that same shape which they already are using below the stem and use it for the extending part this problem would be non-existent. Front suspension is better than the rear. There are upgrades for this which I believe would be a 125mm to fit. The rear bottoms out on little bumps. So I've got into a habbit of taking weight off the rear if hitting any bumps to avoid it bottoming out. That feeling is not fun when it does bottom out lol just a hard CLANK. Like driving a car and hitting that pothole and it humbles you instantly. Very comfortable ride otherwise. Super smooth. Eventually plan on putting PMT tires on & should be an even better ride. Was it mentioned that this thing is HEAVY? This things a monster! Definitely not fun taking up or down stairs. First week trying to figure out the logistics on going up and down stairs I awkwardly carried this thing against my thigh leaving some pretty bad bruises and soreness. I'm located in NY and take this thing on the LIRR. The Babylon branch is an aerial track and not every station has an elevator or a down escalator. Its a solid 3 flights. With some trial and error I've put together a heavy duty duffel bag strap with some tree swing straps paired with some good carabiners to be able to squat & lift it high enough against my body to be able to somewhat comfortably get it down & up stairs. A good tip for going down stairs I found on YouTube if you don't want to go that route is to wheel it backwards. That actually isn't too horrible. Obviously this thing is fast & has no issue at all keeping up with or passing traffic. I haven't gone it's top speed yet but I've gotten up to 47mph so far. Nfc lock is a great feature. Definitely prefer it to a physical key. It was a pain though to find compatible nfc keys to add my own. You only get the 2. My phone (Fold5) didn't work and majority of the nfc keys you find on Amazon don't work. The only one I found to work are these from Amazon. 13.56MHZ MIFARE Classic NFC key. Its a keychain with a black plastic rectangular key. The app works for me on Android. However the last few days the app just crashes when I try to open it. I assume they need to push an update. Was working prior though. The seat I tried using but I feel like I'm sliding all over the place. I do want to use it so I may just get a better cushion. The added shock in the stem of the seat is nice to have. NOTE: The locking mechanism after a few miles starts to creak ALOT when flexing the handlebars/stem front & back. You'll hear it at a standstill when pushing or pulling on the handlebars and holding the brakes. Took me a while to find the source of the creaking but if this happens to you, my fix was putting some all purpose grease/lubricant in the sliding square looking chrome piece that moves when folding/unfolding. I've attached a photo with a yellow circle for reference. After every ride it would creak and I would adjust the folding mechanism by folding and unfolding the scooter and that would usually last until till the end of the next ride. But this seems to have fixed it, after the last 5 rides I haven't had any creaking. For what you pay for in Sept, 2023 this thing is a great deal. Most scooter with these specs are usually around or over 2K ... show more

I love this scooter. I'm a 300 pound man and this thing moves plenty with me on it. battery life is great if you're tamed down in speed and in single motor. At 15-18 mph I can go 30+ miles
