I purchased the no-name brand of this hose and compared. Functionally they are the same. The "copper" brand one (only in color) has a much better look and feel. The nozzle that is included is clearly superior to the no-name brand, and the fittings seem heavier, and more durable than the other no-name brand. Both include extra rubber washers for the connection of the hose at the spicket side. I would highly recommend the "copper" brand, since the price was just about the same - even though I had to wait 2 weeks it. Its worth the wait for the quality... ... show more

I actually purchased and returned two other of these expandable hoses, first one worked ok but the sprayer broke 2nd use, second hose purchased kinked and was terrible. I didn’t want to purchase this one first because it seemed to good to be true with the tv commercials and not to mention the price was much higher than the other two I purchased. But after purchasing this one the 75 ft hose arrived in a little box, thought it was the wrong size, but no it was the 75ft length. Hooked it up and it expanded like it was alive, shut the water off and it shrunk to box size, sprayer is high quality thumb control and pressure is great. This hose is flexible and extremely durable! We have had nothing but an easy time using this hose. It was easy to put together. I will say it does tangle quite often, but it has never kinked so far. We got it in black and the color has not faded.

Of all the things I have purchased through Amazon, this has given me the most satisfaction. I rarely write a review. This interface insists I write something. I just want to give stars. This item deserves a review! I have been messing with my existing hose for years. Pinches, twists, never get it fully corrected, happens every time I use it. Pain in the butt. This hose does not tangle, pinch twist, etc. AND it is great fun to watch it expand and contract as you fill it and empty it at the end of use. I am having friends over to watch what it does. The only thing I question is that it says don't leave it in the sun. Huh. It is outside after all. Am I supposed to bring it inside after use? I have found a workaround. Did I mention that the 75 foot length shrinks to a much smaller size and that it takes up much less space than a regular hose. (The other hose is also heavy. This one is not.) So I coil it up, (To be accurate, I dump it in a pile.) and put an outdoor plastic table over it. Voila, instant sun cover. A box would work. Anything that keeps the sun off. I am going to get another hose for the front yard. If you buy this hose, I promise, you will love it! Please pass this review on to the vendor. Thanks so much, Vicky ... show more

    • From short empty hose, to very long, and back. They don't tangle...
I have only had it for a few weeks so I can't speak for how long this will last. I keep them empty in a paint bucket. I take the hose out, and turn the water on. I then start walking and the length just increases at the water pressure grows. When I'm done, I hang the open nozzle and let it drain. While doing so, the hose shrinks. I replace the hose back into the bucket. until its next use. ... show more

UPDATE: In less than a month the protective collar around the hose-to-nozzle connection has broken off. This is very irritating. Original review: I have gone through so many of these flexible hoses from a variety of manufacturers. Without fail, generally within a year or so, they pull apart and leak and stop working. You can feel the difference in this brand. It is far more substantial than the other flex hoses I have used yet it is still lightweight and manageable. I have five watering stations and I will be purchasing this hose. ... show more
