Soooo…. I just encountered the “fail” of my second hose. The first one was replaced promptly so we will see if they “replace” the replaced one. This first hose sprung leaks at where it connects to hose bib but the hose totally blew off from the hose bib attachment and retracted down the hose. Nothing like turning on your hose and nothing comes out of the spray nozzle….and speaking of the nozzle….it has micro cracks in the plastic thus leading to an unwanted misty spray when the handle is not depressed. Not to happy…. UPDATE: 11/21/22 Promptly rcvd 2nd replacement hose…hopefully all will go well…happy plants! Thank you Flexhose for caring!! ... show more

Nice and lightweight. So easy to pull around yard. I hope this one lasts. It is super to use. I have a shoulder tear and had no trouble managing this hose. I am ordering a third so I will have them all over my yard!

    • Hose blew out after a year of use- twice.

The concept of this hose was great. Lightweight and expandable. Less space. Loved it at first. And bought a second one. But when I hooked it up to a pressure washer, the hose blew out at the spigot. I figured it was the added pressure of the washer and replaced that hose with a traditional one. The second hose was used for normal watering and washing and it also blew out. I just replaced it as well with a traditional hose and nozzle (their nozzle is made specifically for the smaller diameter of the expandable hose) and I have realized a much better water flow and pressure I get from the "good old type". Too bad. It was a nice idea but don't waste your money. ... show more

As I get older, I find that heavy things are difficult to handle. These hoses are lightweight and really do the job Although, they are lightweight, they are also small internal diameter. Yes, the flow rate is lower, but I can live with it.

Ok. Here it goes. Pros first. Love that its lightweight. I appreciate that aspect as a girl. It also is compact to store. Also very much appreciated that I don't feel like I am having an MMA match with a piece of rubber to wrap it around the hose hanging thing on the side of the house. I don't know what they are called. It has a shut off valve on the end, that comes in handy, but does have a small problem. I'll explain in cons. It does stretch. However, the size on the box is not how long the hose actually is, it's how far it can stretch. Big difference. I'll explain that later also in review. Cons: Let's start with the stretching. There is a limit to just how far it stretches and if you aren't careful and lose grip a bit, it can launch you across the lawn. Hence the Banshee Bungee reference. I have dang near plowed rows in my grass trying to stop myself from being dragged across the yard. This moves into where the feet mentioned on the box is probably the maximum stretch. With that said, using the maximum stretch is at the peril of your life. One other con has to do with the shut off valve on the end. It comes in handy because if you turn it off, the hose doesn't fling back a few feet when you let go of it. It will if the water is coming out. That valve has a tendency to work loose when opening and shutting valve. I gave the neighbors a good show tonight when that came off and one hand was not on the end of the hose, but about a foot back. That extra foot started flipping around like a loose firehose until I got my hands on the end of the sucker. Not a dry stitch of anything anywhere after that. So watch that valve if you don't want to bathe in the yard. Other than those two issues amd it being a bit pricey, it is a pretty good hose. I've only had it for a month now so we shall see if it stands up to the rigors of me and a rambunctious doberman. ... show more

This hose was great. Our previous hoses kept getting holes and tears from use. We were excited at how lightweight this one was, and how it was so easy to put away. We took good care of it and even purchased a special bowl to store it in so it wouldn't be over handled. It was very surprising to us that it started leaking all at once and came apart after just 5 months of use, almost to the day. We water the yard 2x per week, so that is barely 40 uses. Not really worth the purchase at that rate. Very disappointed, we really liked it at first but we need something durable. ... show more
