I bought this item to cut grass in between Iris plants versus pulling which can damage roots. While the sickle bar attachment doesn't work very well (binds in thick grass), the small blades cut through grass and weeds like butter. I highly recommend wearing cut resistant gloves as the blades can cut through skin as well as grass. ... show more

This little jewel will cut through the grass. Way better than a hand tool. Battery lasts long enough for you to want to do something else. Be careful of fingers, it can nip them too.

These clippers zip through the tall grass my husband leaves when he mows around my ornamentals and edges. They are so much more fun to use than grass hand shears. I have arthritis in my fingers and the constant squeezing of the manual models makes my hands ache. Battery life is amazingly long--90+ minutes which is when I get bored or tired anyway. They also easily clip back my azaleas and other twiggy shrubs after blooming. The directions warn against getting dirt in the blades, but I even use them when I am in a hurry to weed; they shear off weeds at ground level. My only complaint is that changing blades is time consuming and confusing at first. ... show more

So - I am a horrible weed eater. I end up cutting down my plants. Anyway... I don't have a lot to weed eat so I thought this would be better. AND it is. Works easy... the battery seems to be efficient. It truthfully does not feel like it is going to last a long time. But I kind of wanted to try out this less expensive model before investing more. So far so good. Even though it means I have to get down and crawl around with it - at least I have control and am not chopping down plants I am trimming around. :-) ... show more

    • Light weight and small!
Love this hand held clipper! Light weight and easy to change blades. I like that it comes with a plug in battery charger so you don’t have the heavy battery pack like larger tools! Only problem is that it is a little awkward hold the two buttons at one time. I highly recommend this item!
