I like these plugs. The multiple angles the cord can be positioned is the best feature. There are some very similar ones that only allow 90° angles on the cord and they are always hard to work with if you need other angles.. The screws that hold the wires are very secure if you make sure the bare part of the wire is under the metal parts that clamp down on them. Loosen the screws enough to make sure the space for the bare wires opens up. If you pay attention to the cord angle you want, you can remove the insulation properly and leave enough bare wire to shove in, and not so much unstripped wire that a lot of squishing is needed to assemble the plug securely. If it won't go together, you need to shorten or reposition the wires inside. ... show more

No as good of quality as the similar Eaton product but like the Eaton product you can set the angle on the cord. Think of this as more residential quality. Also, you will not be able to plug two of these into the same outlet. Same issue with the Eaton product. And neither this or the Eaton product will fit well into a weatherproof outlet cover unless the cord is angled slightly off-center. For the size I thought it might be easier to use on a heavy grade extension cord, however, it is quite difficult to fit the heavy gauge stranded wire in the channels provided.

This inexpensive product is a problem solver. For 15A it's pretty heavy duty beyond the power rating. I wish the internal screws let you hook the wire around the screw posts for better contact rather than just straight down to be clamped. But the strain relief clamp should hold everything in place so just be sure to torque the screws pretty tight (don't overdue of course) to maximize contact / electrical efficiency. ... show more
