I’ve owned at least 4 of these. They have all cracked eventually from being dropped. But I keep going back to aquajug because other water bottles just aren’t as good! Pros: -half gallon so can carry around a day’s worth of water and easily track if I’m drinking enough, no need to refill multiple times -Large easy-to-open spout for chugging water (can do one handed). I hate water bottles with straws or screw-tops -Spout closes securely without leaking (I’m not having to use all my strength to get it to snap shut like others) -small screw top lid so less likely to misalign and cause a leak (my other brand’s top is huge and often pours water down my front if not lined up perfectly) -lightweight -large handle -strap for carrying on your wrist if needed -no timeline on the side telling me when to drink -the first time it broke the company replaced it for free Cons: -Won’t keep water cold in summer -eventually will crack and be unusable ... show more

At first, I was excited to find a relatively cheap water jug that didn't have a straw! I know that the straw-tops are very popular right now, but I've never found a reliable way to clean them. Plus, the hinge area could be a great place for water and bacteria to hang out. Hard pass! Anyway, the Aqua Jug arrived, and the first red flag was how thin the plastic was. Meh, I said. Thick enough to keep the wet on the inside. It's fine. The second red flag was the fact that there were convenient numbers printed on the side of the jug to see how much water was left. This doesn't seem too bad... untill you realize that the jug was black...and opaque. Even holding it up to the light, I couldn't see the water level, so the numbers on the side were a bit of an oopsie. Lastly, the jug did not survive a 1.5 ft fall onto carpet. The full bottle then emptied itself onto the floor of my office, necessitating a nice gentleman from plant services to come by and vacuum up the water. Now, it was my fault it fell, I own that, but I am still disappointed it didn't survive it. ... show more

My third bottle. The number one reason I purchase this specific bottle is the way the handle is designed. Could just be me, but it seems to be more balanced and it is easier store - no protruding handle. The second reason is the size. About 2 liters. Again, for me enough water for my workout. The negative. The reason i purchased a third one. I dropped the other two from about two feet and they burst open like a melon. I get it. water is heavy. But i would like to think the bottle could survive a couple of feet. Apparently not. That’s why four stars. But i like the design and capacity enough to keep buying them. I personally think they are a bit pricy. There are many insulated and more durable options for another $10+ (++++!) I’m not interested in insulated. I like room temperature water. And repeating, i like the design and capacity. Maybe they will look into the breakage problem. ... show more

I bought my first one in May to help with my water intake while working the ER and staying busy. I love the design and size. It lasted till just now in January. Not sure what caused the crack on the bottom but I’m now about to order my second one.

Had it for about 5 months and loved it the entire time. Dropped it once about 2-3 feet off the ground and it cracked the entire bottom making it unusable. The plastic thickness was not even throughout the bottle so it had weak points.
