I'm not a water bottle snob. I do not like the idea of spending so much money on something like this but my kids all need to bring water bottles to school (We live in the desert) and after experiencing their "name brand" water bottles, I am now sold that Yeti is the way to go for adults (not kids, still too expensive). The brand similar to the artic is the best low-cost brand with the exception of their lids. The metal is thick and holds up to abuse. Another brand that all the teachers seem to use (white symbol on the side) has much better lids, but the SS material is ridiculously thin, and they get dented easily. I have found yeti bottles to use thick material and have THE BEST lids you can buy. In particular, the chug cap is awesome. SO, I never thought I would endorse this brand, but they are great. ... show more

Great bottle, keeps cold all day. The threads in/on the lid may need replacement after extended use, but replacements are relatively inexpensive, by comparison. Solid choice, excellent quality.
