    • Stops working after two months
I had this item installed in May at Best Buy. It’s not July and it doesn’t work. Had Best Buy look at it and they showed me how my radio still works but the kit does not. To spend $500 on something to only last two months is upsetting. I would buy directly from Best Buy and spend the $50 more to make sure you can get your money back if it goes bad. I used this to install a new Kenwood DVA7706S Radio into my '16 Ford Fusion. At the time I did this project, this was the only dash kit that anyone had in stock for my car. Pros: -Does the job. This kit is mostly complete. It has all the major wiring to connect up a new radio to the factory wiring harness. Once you get all radio wires soldered, the actual radio install is rather straight forward. -Tech Support is based in the US and very helpful and thorough. -The look is good and clean and doesn't scream after market radio like some setups. The touchscreen HVAC controls give a more modern look to a car. Cons: -Expensive. Other options are a fair amount less. -The directions are not completely clear. The worst part was the section on wiring up the steering wheel controls. That took some -This involved a LOT of wires. It got to be a bit of a task to cram all the wires into my dash behind the radio for a clean look, and I had a rather shallow head unit. A deeper head unit with a CD player could be a challenge to get everything in. -Does not support using the car's factory microphone. I had to use the mic that came with the radio. Using the factory one would have been a bit cleaner of an install. -Does not use the car's factory USB port(s). Recommendations: -Read and re-read the directions. -Before you start wiring anything, download the software from Metra and update the system to the latest version. -I had to get a antenna adapter for the SiriusXM radio antenna and a USB/AUX port to enable those features on my new radio. ... show more

I recently purchased this to update my outdated radio. I had issues where installation took several days instead of a few hours because it wouldn't power on. After I got it to power on and configured to my car it works just fine but I have an issue where the touch screen would be unresponsive and it is dim, plus thevfront speakers in my car now domt prosuce sound. If you purchase this I would recommend paying the extra money to a recommended professional to install this. But I wouldn't reccomend this item due to how difficult it is to work with ... show more

Have had this for only about 7 months and it already has caused me so many issues. When I start my car, it randomly will shut off my BOSS stereo and shut off the screen to my AC controls. Nothing fixes this issue other than hard resetting my battery. For this to be so expensive, it’s disappointing that I have already had this happen over 10 times. I just want a refund ... show more

I bought this product twice because the first time the screen for the AC controls didn't turn on, and the second time it failed to control the AC as well as failed to link my steering wheel controls. Don't trust this seller.
