I bought these to help setup a greenhouse or sorts in a room in the house to help manage the lights and fan and these have been perfect. All my succulents and cacti and orchids are exploding and flowering. It's been a really easy way to manage everything so now I can go on vacation and not worry about it. They turn on for 12 hours and then turn off. Compatibility with Android has been easy. Pairing was quick. Following the step by step process in the app was simple and worked every time. Occasionally I do turn them off before the timer is up, and I can do it from anywhere in the house. The quality of the product is right where you would want it. Easy and simple, nothing to break. The manual on/off is a nice fat square button on the side to it. There's a blue/orange light on the side to help you determine if it's on or off, but then the light turns off so it won't disturb your sleep if it's in your bedroom. Manually turning these on/off either by the app or actually manually pressing them is quick and responsive. I've had a few occasions where they've done some funny things like not turn on when the timer said it was supposed to, but I chalk that up to up Internet and wifi setup being unreliable at times. I've purchased these plugs multiple times now as I've used them up and added more items to the growing network of houseplants and even though they're no longer in the same room, they all go in sync. I purchased these on an Amazon Prime Day sale. They were the least expensive I could find for smart plugs. I was replacing some generic plugs that stopped working. While I like these, and they work for my purposes (Christmas trees, lights, etc), they are a little bulky and may not allow you to plug a power brick into the 2nd plug. But, other than that, they were easy to set up with the Kasa app, and connect to Alexa. So far they have been working well. ... show more

Very EZ to setup and use. App is nice and simple. You can set timers, schedules and use it manually. I ordered a set of 4 Last Christmas for my trees and indoor lights, and this year I ordered another set of 4 to use with my out door lights and they worked great out side but I did cover them. Dean

We have 12 trees for Christmas and lights too. For less than the price of mechanical timers I now control them from my phone! How did I live 50 years without smart outlets. Set up was easy. When the choose a network prompt came up after 30 seconds another screen popped up saying rescan or join hidden network. Selecting rescan brought up my network. Though I'm a hesitant about privacy -- thus no home/voice assistants -- I've made an exception for these. The iPhone app is fairly clear and intuitive, easy to figure out at least. I found the set-up instructions frustrating because they don't mention the SEPARATE window that opens OUTSIDE the app and is necessary for connection to wi-fi. I had to find that on my own after finally giving up on and closing the app. Only then did this window appear. Great for your Christmas lights! They were easy to setup and the app is intuitive so you can set up your lights on a schedule. I did not connect them to Google Home or Alexa so not sure how that process goes, but from an app perspective and a schedule perspective, these worked great.
