I bought these to help setup a greenhouse or sorts in a room in the house to help manage the lights and fan and these have been perfect. All my succulents and cacti and orchids are exploding and flowering. It's been a really easy way to manage everything so now I can go on vacation and not worry about it. They turn on for 12 hours and then turn off. Compatibility with Android has been easy. Pairing was quick. Following the step by step process in the app was simple and worked every time. Occasionally I do turn them off before the timer is up, and I can do it from anywhere in the house. The quality of the product is right where you would want it. Easy and simple, nothing to break. The manual on/off is a nice fat square button on the side to it. There's a blue/orange light on the side to help you determine if it's on or off, but then the light turns off so it won't disturb your sleep if it's in your bedroom. Manually turning these on/off either by the app or actually manually pressing them is quick and responsive. I've had a few occasions where they've done some funny things like not turn on when the timer said it was supposed to, but I chalk that up to up Internet and wifi setup being unreliable at times. I've purchased these plugs multiple times now as I've used them up and added more items to the growing network of houseplants and even though they're no longer in the same room, they all go in sync. Great socket controllers for the price. Setup is much easier than a few years ago when I bought my first Kasa and now these are very inexpensive, perhaps because they are the ‘latest and greatest’ new thing out. But the app makes it easy to group them, you can group them with Alexa for voice control, and it works great. There is no way to schedule things to come on and off however, so perhaps that is why these have become less expensive. Still a good buy for what they do IMO ... show more

I purchased these on an Amazon Prime Day sale. They were the least expensive I could find for smart plugs. I was replacing some generic plugs that stopped working. While I like these, and they work for my purposes (Christmas trees, lights, etc), they are a little bulky and may not allow you to plug a power brick into the 2nd plug. But, other than that, they were easy to set up with the Kasa app, and connect to Alexa. So far they have been working well. ... show more

Works as expected and works with apple home instantly just need to setup in apples home app, no need for tplinks app . Tp-link routers are possible facing a ban in 2025. I'm not sure how this will affect this smart outlet but i would hold out a bit before buying. Amazon probably won’t like hearing this but I’m ditching the cheaper Alexa products for the HomeKit products since the HomeKit consist seems to be more reliable. These particular plugs have been my go-to. They go on sale a lot so you can wait for a price drop before you snag them and I’ve never had connectivity issues with them. Additionally, they work great with both Alexa and Siri. The setup time is so easy because you just need to scan a QR code and it does all the work for you - unlike some other smart devices that I have used in the past (looking at you, wemo). My only real pain point is they still are a little big so if you’re putting them on a power strip or something, they are going to take up another plug or two. But I usually have enough outlets around for me that this isn’t a big deal. I’ve had these plugs for years and they are still going strong! ... show more

We have 12 trees for Christmas and lights too. For less than the price of mechanical timers I now control them from my phone! How did I live 50 years without smart outlets. Set up was easy. When the choose a network prompt came up after 30 seconds another screen popped up saying rescan or join hidden network. Selecting rescan brought up my network.
