Very simple advice works just like you thought it would. I was able to take four shop lights into one cord and ultimately in with one plug. I ran into remote on the wall so I didn't have to keep up with it. One button on one button off works great.

i bought them because an older version of these from another company some broke. i use them to power tv, fan light, etc and turn them off easily. works great. light weight remote and wall outlet units much smaller than the old ones. work well. light up with red led light when plugged in to let you know they work. ... show more

I have the wall unit on the floor behind the couch, attached to a floor lamp. The remote turns on/off the controlled light instantly, which is nice. But occassionally, the buttons do not respond, as if there is interference. I have to move around while pressing the button a few times. The old one, which died, didnt have this issue. ... show more

3 plugs, 1 remote. The plugs are numbered 1 through 3, the remote has on and off buttons for each number. So simple and easy to use. Not pricey and it's amazing how simple it is.
