  • Got a defective unit, but this company did everything right in fixing it.
Pros: good picture, handles multiples cameras. Cons: Arrived dirty and died after 17 days of use. This product had multiple issues with it, the battery would not hold a charge, the buttons worked intermittently and would not retain the settings we selected. We tried to use it as a wired camera but when it died after 17 days, there was nothing to be done. What a shame. Update: is there an English language number for customer support? The number on the contact us page leads to a Mandarin line. I sent an email to the North American after sales address. Will update if I can get this resolved. Update 2: I have been in contact with the company and tried some trouble shooting with them. The unit is defective and they are shipping me a new one at no cost. They have been extremely responsive and helpful. I could not ask for a better customer service experience. Once I get the new unit I will have a final update. FINAL UPDATE: They followed through with replacing my defective unit at no cost to me. Company was very responsive and kind through the entire process and fixed my issues without incurring any expense on my part. I could not ask for a better customer experience when resolving an issue. The unit works perfectly and howbi had hoped. Thank you for helping out a customer! ... show more

  • Great monitor - much better and cheaper than Motorola
I love this monitor! Especially after going through 3 of the Motorola ones (admittedly they were older models). They just kept breaking or the cameras quit working. (Buttons came off, stand broke on all 3...) This one automatically brings the picture up when there is noise in the room. It’s awesome. It switches back and forth between the two cameras. It zooms. The picture is very clear, even at night. My Motorola’s didn’t do that! It has a speaker on the cameras so you can talk to the kids from the parent unit. One thing it doesn’t have is a clock on it - but that’s what my cell phone is for. Also the cameras can’t be moved by the parent unit - it must be done manually. But that hasn’t really been an issue. It’s very easy to pair the cameras with the parent unit as well - a nice bonus since the Motorola ones were difficult at best. I am not sure how accurate the temperature function is. It reads much warmer than either my thermostat or the indoor/outdoor thermometer that I bought to use instead. It was the same way with the Motorola ones, though so I haven’t been too bothered by that. It’s also much more user friendly than the Motorola ones I have had. It has onscreen instructions and comes with a simple one page user guide. All in all it’s a great deal and a great monitor! Way better than my previous Motorola monitors that were more expensive. Update 1 year later: I figured out how to adjust the thermometer on the monitor. I used an outdoor one to calibrate it. So now it’s just terrific. Still works great. I take it to the grand parents house - it’s simple to set up. No issues in the past year. Still love it. ... show more

  • Great camera
I really love that the product comes with two cameras and I’m able to see both on just one screen. It truly makes watching my daughter when she is playing in her room, or asleep, much easier. I gave it 4 stars, kinda wish I could do 3.5 stars, because it is so great but I have two issues that are kinda big deals for me. However, the battery on the screen does not last at all. I never leave it on the charger for extended periods of times, yet, now if I leave it off of the charger for more than 2 hours it is blinking an empty red battery at me and giving me the low battery notification. I feel like it could last so much longer considering the cost of the product. Also, the cameras appear to be zoomed in significantly. It works for the area I have the cameras in now but I can’t really move it anywhere else for the view I want. I wish there was a way that I could zoom them in/out so I can see more surrounding area. Other than those two things, I love the system. ... show more

  • LBtech 2 camera baby monitor - probably the best I have found
I purchased the LBtech 2 camera baby monitor for two baby nurseries in my home. Here's some things I like and an added extra bonus that makes the monitor even better, The base unit (parent unit) is nice - it's easily big enough to see clearly and in color. The range seems to be pretty good - I can take the monitor down to my basement while the nurseries are two floors above without any problems. There's a signal strength meter on the monitor, as well. The tilt up antenna pulls in the signal nicely. It comes with three power cords - the power cord for the parent unit is shorter and the cords for the cameras are longer. The camera base has a non-skid surface so you can set it on a shelf or counter and it stays in place without moving. I mounted one of the cameras on the wall above a crib and ran the power cord under the base and through a wall to make the electrical connection. This made a very clean and neat installation with no exposed cords. See details below on how to do this. NOTE: I don't think it's safe to install a camera directly above a crib if your child can stand up in the crib. My installation is for infants / newborns that can not stand yet. The cameras are clear and sharp. I like the color and design of the cameras. The swivel and twist base makes them easy to adjust. The base is also wall mountable. The parent unit has the controls I need right at my finger tips without any confusion. Primarily, there's a button to switch between cameras, a mic button to talk to the baby, speaker volume controls and the VOX button. The VOX button is a really nice power saving feature for the parent unit. With the VOX turned on, the video screen is shut off to save battery power for the parent unit. When there's a noise at the camera unit (like baby babbling or crying) the screen turns on again. You can turn off the VOX function if you want the video active all the time. I have mine set to keep the audio on all the time and turn the screen off when there's no sound in the baby room. When there's sound, the video pops on and goes off when it's silent again. From a battery perspective, the video screen is probably the biggest battery drain on the parent unit, so being able to turn the screen off extends the usage time of the parent unit when not plugged into the charger. There's a setting menu that allows you to customize the settings. Before you change the settings, I suggest you read the instructions and think about how you want your camera and parent unit to operate. The LBtech website has a nice PDF file of the instructions that I found very handy. There's a setting function that allows you to scan between cameras, so it switches between cam1 and cam2 and cycles that way until you stop it. Since I have two baby rooms and two infants, this is a very nice function. Just a note here - I strongly suggest you read the instructions on the settings and set them so you can get the most out of your baby monitor. The settings provide a wide range of functionality IF YOU SET THEM CORRECTLY. I suggest you use the settings and then test what you've done. I'm extremely happy with the way I have my settings adjusted. And be aware, it's likely the instructions were written or translated by someone who's native language is not english. So read them closely and use some common sense and some ingenuity. I had a very nice experience with LBtech customer service. I had a concern about one of the operating functions and contacted their customer service via email and they replied back right away. After discussion with their technical staff, my problem was completely resolved. I typically don't think much of most customer service departments, but, these folks did a wonderful job and resolved my problem ASAP. Here's how I installed the camera on the wall without any cords exposed: NOTE AGAIN - I do not recommend installing the camera directly above a crib if your child can stand up and potentially reach the camera or throw a crib toy or something at the camera. My babies are newborns. I'll move the camera when they can pull them selves up or stand. I used the side of a standard wood working file (a "bastard file") to make a notch the exact size (width and depth) of the power cord in the camera base. This allows the base to sit perfectly on the wall with the power cord running under it. Then, between the mounting holes on the wall, I drilled a small hole with a 1/8" drill bit all the way through the wall . On the other side of the wall where I installed the camera, there's a closet with a light fixture. I was able to remove that light fixture and install an outlet off that electrical circuit and reinstall the light. I cut the camera power cord, then passed it through the hole I drilled and then soldered the wires together and plugged it into the outlet. I'll try to attach a picture. This leaves a very neat and clean installation with no dangling or exposed wires. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase and I can recommend this baby monitor. The LBtech customer service was wonderful and I'm glad I contacted them. I have a complete solution to monitor two nurseries at one time. ... show more
