When I saw this, I was curious as to why the right angle tool had 2 receptacle ends but was listed as a "drill attachment". That's because it isn't... it is just a hand tool for using the bits manually. There's no internal mechanism. So let's move on to the flexible extension. It does the job. I was able to easily remove wood screws using the provided bits, and it transferred torque well to the bit. It bends to about a 6" radius. The only downside is that the magnet holding the bit is weak, so it's easy to drop a bit. The receptacle isn't deep enough to hold hex shank drill bits or sockets. They wobble too much. It comes with a collection of basic grade bits and a bit holder. These are fine for casual use but won't hold up to a few hours of heavy use. So if you need to occasionally get into tight places to drive screws with your power drill, this flexible shaft will work fine. The "extras" that come with it have minimal value. If you plan to use it regularly, there are much better sets out there for a not that much more cost. ... show more

I needed to get to some screws around the back of a toilet, which didn't allow a straight access for my power screwdriver. This bendy bit extension allowed me to do a complete U turn around the rounded toilet edge to get to the screw. It's quite ingenious, the way it works. The outside 'black coating' remains still, while the inside turns, allowing you to hold the coating, position the bit, and screw/unscrew with the power drill. The inside turns and the outside doesn't. The bit holder is magnetic, the bits supplies ferrous - so it holds the bits in, even when moving around or upside down. Which is super helpful. The extension itself is pretty rigid too, it doesn't flop around awkwardly, it's quite hard to position, there's a snap to it to keep it where you put it and you could use it as 'just an extension' if you wanted with no bend. It's a handy bit extension for those awkward spots you'd otherwise have to use a hand-held small stubby screwdriver. ... show more

    • Not What I Was Expecting
This flexible extension tool set might come in handy when working in tight locations, or when there is limited space for getting a drill or screwdriver in position. I used the flexible extension in a battery operated drill motor, and it worked OK. It feels and sounds like there is either a spring or a cable that runs the length of the extension inside the multi-jointed sheath. This is probably not an extension that's going to let one exert a lot of force, but for drilling small holes or driving small screws in tight locations this might be really handy, assuming that there is room for the bend radius of the extension. When I ordered this tool, I was under the impression that the "Manual Right Angle Drill Attachment" was actually a right angle drill attachment that you could chuck up in a drill motor and it would hold a drill bit and drill a hole at a right angle like other right angle drill attachments that I've used. That was the main reason that I ordered the tool. I was disappointed to see that this "Manual Right Angle Drill Attachment" is nothing more than a fixed handle, kind of like a big allen wrench, with bit holders at each end. It does not really "attach" to anything other than whatever bit is inserted into it. Nothing on this "drill attachment" moves. I guess that's what they mean by "Manual". This should have been identified as a "right angle apex bit handle". The image in the Amazon ad (as of 11/13/2024) that shows this "Manual Right Angle Drill Attachment" has some type of spring clip and ball arrangement at each end to retain the bits. The handle that I received was a different design. The handle that I received had no spring clip and ball, but instead had a magnet in the bit holder on the long end of the handle, which works fine to hold a bit in place, but no magnet in the bit holder on the short end of the handle. Any bit that I put in the bit holder at the short end of the handle just falls right out. The magnet is missing. That same image on Amazon says that the Manual Right Angle Drill Attachment is "suitable for various drill bits", which leads one to believe that you would use this item to drill a hole. I can't imagine how long it would take to drill a hole by hand using this right angle handle. I would be less disappointed if this Manual Right Angle Drill Attachment was properly identified as a right angle apex bit handle. I'm not too happy with this order. Purchased this to allow me to access screws where a traditional straight driver would not fit. Tested it out with both a hand driver and electric driver. Worked well as long as you don't extend the angle too far. Came with a 90 degree fixed wrench and a set of bits. Didn't need these for my application but they will be useful for folks that don't already have them. Time will tell if it stands up to repeated use. ... show more

    • Solid bits, nice flexible extension, the right angle doesn't spin
The flexible extension is handy to get to hard to reach places. The plastic on it can move up and down on you, which I thought shouldn't move at all. I was excited to try out the right angle extension but disappointed that it doesn't actually turn, which I am trying to figure out the usefulness of the extension. I thought I'd be able to use it to get to places that I couldn't hit straight on with a screwdriver and hit it at an angle. Unfortunately since it doesn't spin it is more like a right angle screwdriver that you would use to screw something in by hand. Other than that it is a decent kit, just be aware that the right angle extension isn't going to do what you hope. ... show more

Overall a decent little screwdriver bit replacement set. However the rubber bit-holder did not secure the bits that well and the bits were all a little loose, so you should keep the plastic bag this set comes with to store everything. Also note the L-shaped wrench is _only_ a wrench, and not a drill extension. But the screwdriver bit heads do fit OK in the L-shaped wrench. The snake-extension also worked well.
