I am 67 years old and though I’ve played golf off and on I have never gotten serious about striking the ball correctly. Kind of crazy to change as I usually shoot in the mid 70’s. Several of the YouTubers reccommended the lag shot as a training tool to help fix the swing path. I purchased one and it truly does help you get a more fluid swing. One of the better golf aids I’ve spent money on. Don’t swing fast when you first try it because it can be a shock to your wrists. It is good for timing but hitting a ball straight may take more time to master than I am willing to put in, but I don’t use it for hitting a real ball anyway I like it, but as usual with things like this the price is somewhat high. ... show more

10 to 12 swings all you need to learn to properly swing an iron. Great pratice aid. My first one was stolen on a golf course if you can believe it, after I had it two weeks. I had to buy another well worth it.

I have been playing for over 55 years and have a reasonable understanding of the physics of golf, so I should have been suspicious of a one-size-fits-all type of training device that uses an overweight head on an overly flexible shaft, but I haven't been playing as much in recent years and I hoped that something like this would help me maintain a more consistent rhythm. I reviewed as much of the instructional information as I could find online prior to using the club at the range several times, but it only resulted in nasty hooks with my regular clubs, so I have dropped it from my practice routine. I can easily imagine that it could work for folks with a different physiology, swing mechanics, etc., but it doesn't work for me. Having said that, the club seems to be well made, and the heavy head makes it a good alternative to using two irons during my pre-round warm-up, so it is currently in my bag as a 14th club until I find a tweener hybrid I like. ... show more

I was looking for something to add lag to my swing and add distance, so I thought this would definitely help. I found the only thing that might work for me is to slow down and that’s really all I got from the lag club. The bad is it caused me to pull the ball left not a hook but dead pool. Because the club is heavier than my clubs it has taken me weeks to stop pulling all my irons. I gained no yardage from the lag club and no lag. About the only thing good about this club is to use it as a warm up club but don’t hit a ball with it. Just really disappointed. The videos they offer you are no help. Some golf pro who doesn’t recommend golf training tools oddly recommends this one and hits the lag club and talks about how easy it will produce lay and add yards.
