I liked the cut and it was short enough to achieve the desired white shade. I kept to this shade for nearly a year and gradually as my hair grew out I wanted to change the color from white to pale silver. I kept up with that for a little over 6 months. One more haircut and style later. Now it’s all one length in a bob. I tried the Smokey silver by L’Oréal. It’s great for me. The quality is very nice. I like subtle changes by sticking with similar colors from one group. The black was a result of color build up that I never want to repeat again. This Smokey silver does fade after a month of washing so I’ll be coloring soon. This is the perfect shade of pinkish-purple that I could never seem to find until now. I have blonde hair as a base so you can see this particular color really well on it, but I can't say what it looks like on darker hair. As with all fashion colors, it doesn't last super long. You might still have a bit of a hue after a month, but you'll definitely need to re-dye it to get that saturation back. I'm having a partial liking to this product. I used this product 2 years ago on my hair and my of my it gave me such a great result. The only problem I did was I didn't realized back then that This product has bleach. That is the reason why I bought this product again. I try to use it on my BF hair and he has brown reddish after we bleach his hair (from black). He wanted to get this color but after applying the dye, there is no change at all. I was hoping that it will bleach out the red and recolor it with blonde but he still has his reddish and it doesn't even come out lighter. The hair closer to the scalp (it grows black already about 2mm), change to reddish as well. I assume that the dye can't properly get absorb by the hair. But again, I think had I know if this would be less bleach content in it (or maybe not enough dye on it), I probably pick a light brown color or something else other than blonde. gorgeous color, no bad smell, easy to use, etc. it's a box hair dye, not much else to say. it didn't dye my skin too bad which is nice. the box showed up a little crunched up but everything was intact so whatever.
