    • Hard to get open the first time. Needs to be mounted to be secure. Reasonable for price

I'll start by saying that I think this safe is a decent buy considering the price. I would say that it offers a good amount of protection however with the following caveats: 1) The first time you open the safe you have to unbolt the keyhole cover. They are tightened down with too much force and are stripped or poorly machined. I returned the first one I got because of this, but managed to get one (and only one) of the hex bolts loose on the second safe. I was able to slide (pivot) the cover enough to use the key but will probably have to drill out the second bolt at some point 2) The deposit doesn't have any sort of cantilever system to block access. you can easily reach into the safe (but only touch the top) If you don't secure this safe with bolts to the wall all you would need to do is turn it upside down to get everything out. -- Bottom line, you need to secure this for it to be effective. With that in mind, I think this is a fairly stout secure safe for the price. ... show more

So compact and slim, not at all bulky in size. Love the dual locks, makes this even more secured due to needing both keys to open. Front facing slot on top makes it so convenient to drop money and envelopes and not have to worry about losing it. While the safe was the right size, great blind drop feature, etc, the locking mechanism started to fail on month 3. Now on month 4 the metal rods that lock the door in place do not align with the holes and are unable slide out to lock. I would have hoped to at least get a year or 2 out of a $250 safe. Looking for a new safe if anyone knows a good brand! ... show more

    • Wouldn’t buy another one
It’sa great size But there’s no weight to it.’ It weighs Atleast MAYBE about 30pds I had to Mount it to the wall Because then there’s no point in it if people can just walk off with it. The locking of it is sturdy. The numbers on the key pad are already fading I’ve only had it for maybe a week I can imagine how is going to be in another week. you can definitely see what numbers I’ve been pushing. The gold trim is plastic. I’m also positive that it’ if someone really wanted to get into this going at it with ax just one time would do the trick. Lucky for me I just need this to keep my kids out my stash. Lol ... show more
