My almost 8yr old (60lbs) needed something other than puddle jumper’s. This is perfect! Great quality, love the flotation options, and more mature patterns. Love this jacket. We usually use a puddle jumper but he (age4) started to need something less so he isn’t depending on the puddle jumper. This vest is perfect for that. At first when I put it on him I thought it was going to be too small but it’s a perfect snug fit so it doesn’t rise up. And I love that I can start to take out some of the floats as he gets better in the water. He can definitely take it off on his own so I had to be very strict about only mom or dad can take this off and watch him way more closely than I did with the puddle jumper but so worth it for him to have more mobility and less dependency on it. It’s also not bulky at all. Almost blends in with his rash guard and looks like it’s just a part of the suit. Would buy again and again. ... show more

This product runs so small I can't even zip it on my 3 year old. Checked the sizing recommendations twice but they aren't accurate. Perhaps it would fit if all the pads were removed, but that is pointless for this product. May try to return for a larger size but it's just a guessing game.
