I was excited to receive this set and loved the color. Unfortunately there were 3 knives in the set that were cracked. Right away I reached out to emojoy customer service and Hongmei was great from the very beginning! I had done a return and he said he would be following my case. I received the replacement set and the same thing happened knives were cracked. I communicated this with Hongmei and they gave me a full refund and I was able to keep the knives. Loved the color, sharpness and weight of the handles/knives but unfortunately overtime, especially the knives with the metal going through the center they have been getting little cracks forming in the blue part. Did get a good price but sadly that's probably the reason they're always discounted

Upon arrival, 1 handle is broken in 3 spots and two other handles are broken in 1 spot. I expect the handle that is broken in 2 spots on the same side will fall apart with use but maybe it will stay put. Another handle has space where plastic is not filled in all the way up to the metal end of the knife (not shown in the picture). It has been below freezing so maybe this was the cause but for the price, I wouldn’t have expected these to crack. And if it was the cold, I can't imagine what a hot dishwasher would do to them. The blades are very sharp to start and we’ll see how long they stay that way. The knife block is solid but it is made from a light colored wood which is stained quite a bit darker. This means that every knife poke into the face of the block will show as a light blemish. The Emojoy logo carved into the base shows you just how much of a contrast there is between the wood and stain. The little rubber feet are stapled into the block rather than screwed. It is odd having 6 steak knives below and two more on the top with the ‘other’ knives; it would have been nice to have them all together. The scissors are quite small and fit my woman's hand perfectly. I wish the sharpener was at the top of the block because it’s in the way and rarely used. I do like the blue color as my family can easily distinguish these knives and put them away properly. ... show more
