I am impressed, got them on sale and am very happy with them. Nicely styled, very sharp, and has built in sharpener. Block is a composite, it's solid black, can't scratch paint/finish off.

We have really liked these knives so far! We are not knife-people and perpetually commit the culinary sin of putting them in the dishwasher, so we were in the market for good quality but inexpensive knives. So far these fit the bill! They're sharp and sturdy, and have not had any issues after going through the dishwasher many times. We do dry them afterward so they're not sitting with moisture, but I think they would be okay even if we didn't do that. Good knives for the price! ... show more

only complaint i had was, 2 of the knifes needed sharpened when i got the set but it has a built in sharpener so it wasnt much of a hassle. looks nice and does the job.
