They are also stainless steel and doesn’t rust . Benefit: But here’s the thing, and I can’t stress this enough - they are super sharp. Like, really sharp. First time I used it, it went through my tomatoes and lettuce like butter, and my fingers? Let’s just say they've never been more aware. So, a friendly heads-up: handle with care! I am very impressed with these knives. They are made of an individual piece of stainless steel. No plastic or wooden handle, just steel. Tape them together and you will hear how solid they are. Very light yet appear very strong. I haven't used them yet but longevity in useage will be the true test. I feel confident the will be great, they appear to be badass knives. It has been several years since I bought new knives. When I got them, I couldn't believe I was using those poor knives so long. I love them. Only problem is the hilt. There is no difference in the handle that immediately tell you which is the sharp side; it takes a while to adjust to double check —but not long/-and they are so worth it. These knives are not only sharp looking but actually very sharp. They are aerodynamic and lightweight in your hand when using. They are made very well and having the sharpening feature is great. Overall a great product. Note we purchased the black it doesn’t say hand wash but my hubby insists on hand washing. So we have only run thru the Dish washer once when we received the set. We have been using for 30-45 days and they are wearing very well. Definitely recommend! ... show more
