I know this says outdoor fan, but I installed in indoors. It looks magnificent in our enormous foyer and emits the perfect amount of light. It does take some work to install as this is not your typical simple wire connection using an electrical box. It requires screwing into the joists, and in my case, re-installing the electrical box and framing new joists. In the end, however, it was more than worth the effort. I was really surprised after the installation. It has great wind power and almost no noise. The remote control can control it, and my garage can drop 5-10 degrees Fahrenheit instantly. There is a lot to like here, especially for the price. I selected the fan, knowing it didn't have a built-in dimmer for the light. The light can be adjusted to different color temperatures. I wasn't sure how bright it would be. I bought two to use in my covered patio. The lights are very bright. Even in the warmest setting, they are too bright to be of use in my space. Part of this is due to the low ceiling height of nine feet. With a very high ceiling it would work better. I didn't install these myself because they were part of a new construction project involving new wiring. I didn't ask my electrician if there was a way to separately wire the lights to work on an alternate wall dimmer switch. I have other outdoor lighting, so it's fine. The bright fan lights will come in handy for occasional use. He did tell me that the DC motor looked robust and should last a long time. The fan blades are a standout feature. With six settings, I found that number three was more than sufficient to circulate a significant amount of air. The sleek, curved design of the blades adds a touch of elegance. At the highest speed setting, the blades emit a gentle hum, reminiscent of an old-time crop duster. I find the sound rather charming. I would definitely recommend this fan, especially considering its price. It's a sleek and quiet option, and the remote offers a range of flexible functions. However, I feel that a dimmer feature would have elevated its performance and warranted a five-star rating. ... show more

I bought two of them to put on my back porch which is a 10x20 space, and they were so easy to assemble, and I had to wire via extention cord, no power out lets there. I am SO pleased with how they keep the air moving, pushing bugs and hubbys cigarette smoke off my porch! And the light is bright, a dimmer option may be useful. I do wish they'd make a way to program them to work off 1 remote, but I just labled them remote 1 and 2, hope I dont lose them.. lol ... show more
