There are only great things to say about this gate . Was easy to install and won’t damage my doorway. As a senior lady I was thrilled to be able to install this with no fuss ! The gate is very sturdy. It has excellent tension and does not move , slip or otherwise loosen up. It fit my doorway perfectly without having to use the extensions but if needed I’m sure they would work well . The latches work very easily ,even with my “old” somewhat arthritic hands ! Just a hint : after installing the gate if the latch seems to be too tight to easily swing open …simply loosen the top tighteners just a tad !!!! Oh did I mention they look really nice too. Trust me ..If I didn’t really like this gate I wouldn’t have quickly ordered a second one . We really like this gate. It’s the perfect height, length and is strong enough to hold big dogs back. Our cats can easily go through it. Even with our dogs putting their front paws on shaking it, it’s never faltered. Easy to just lift the gate to go through it and a light push and hard push can easily lock the gate back into place. Bought this when my youngest kid started walking. This has been the best gate and it's super sturdy! I love that the door can open both ways and the lock is easy enough for my older kids to open but not my toddler. It was a easy installation.

... for what may be, in my opinion, the best tension gate you can buy. Easy to fit to the space and two levels of wall care (extender foot is covered in soft silicone and wall cups are included as well); it took about 30 minutes to put two gates in place and they are good looking, clean lines, and excellent security for pets or people. Remember to fit the gate before you remove the red zip tie holding the lock together; if you do that, you'll have a couple of turns on the tension to tweak it, but be done in moments. If you remove that tie before fitting it, it's not a problem, but you'll be working around a flapping door and it'll make everything harder. This is a magnificent gate and, at this price point, I'm thrilled I found it! ... show more

I have 3 of these gates because they are the best! Easy to install and very sturdy. I have one in the entry hall so I don’t have to battle with my dogs, or worry about them escaping, every time I open the door. I have one at the entrance to each bedroom to keep my younger pup out. I have those set to not lock so that my older dog can use his nose to get in and out. Sometimes he just needs to get away from my younger pup! I also keep them unlocked so my grandkids can easily go from one room to the next. I recommend them to everyone who has a dog! In fact, I just sent the link to my neighbor. Great quality and easy to assemble. My toddler is now able to roam around the allowed areas of the house without worrying that he will go to the forbidden areas.
