  • The good the bad and the rest.
I own many scooters. From those that go maybe 10mph to those that hit an easy 60mph beast scooters. I would think I know scooters pretty well. Let's start with the good. The underside glow is nice. The deck is wide and good grip. Sturdy construction. On a scale of boards. I'd say this has more of a long board feel. Roomy and a good starter scooter. The battery so far has been excellent. Charge quickly the charger doesn't get really warm. The motor is great for small hills and has no sound or problems. Strong enough that no need to worry when you are just out for fun. Easily folds down. A basic scooter that is reliable. Brakes work well. Easy display to navigate and see your speed. Good headlight. Not super bright but good enough. Comfortable and fun to ride. Unique look to the wood deck. So what's the bad? First off the tires. This is a personal preference of mine. But for a everyday, just get out and ride scooter the air tires can be a problem. If you've never had to change a tire on a scooter. Well let's just say it's not fun. Solid tires or hybrid would work better. No air. Yes I get that the air is for schock absorption , comfort. But the last thing I want to worry about is a flat on an everyday scooter. My larger scooters that go quicker have air tires. But this is for grip and stability. You don't want to slip going at 60+mph. This goes slower so the solid or hybrid tires would work better and give more peace of mind on not getting a flat. The throttle is twist on handle bar like a motorcycle but it's far enough in it doesn't cause issues. Easy to turn. I've got scooters with finger throttle and thumb throttle and it's just an odd choice for twist throttle. But it's different. The thing I don't like about twist throttle is the twisting part. You need to move your wrist to a strange angle. But this is a personal preference . On long trips this throttle does shine however as it's just twist and go and hold. Like a cruise control of sorts.i prefer finger throttle. But I can see how this may work very well for some. One strange issue. Which I'm sure is for rider safety, but I find annoying is the governor or speed limiter. This scooter has a habit of when you hit the 18mph limit. It slows down as the governor kicks in, safety yes I get it. But here's the thing. You hit the 18mph then the scooter coasts until you hit about 13mph until the motor or throttle engages again. So instead of letting you hit the throttle to get out of the way of traffic if need be.you have no throttle. This is going downhill. It's a bit annoying. I'd rather have it keep a consistent speed or limit the speed than cut out and coast.strange decision. But I get safety concerns. The front clip to hold the handle bars needs tightening as it jiggles just a wee bit. But easy fix. I've had no issues as some state with battery and such so far. Would I suggest this scooter. Well yes. If you are looking for a fun ride with a great motor. Not too heavy. And good looking. This is a cruiser. Compared to my other scooters. This one is my lazy day easy going, enjoy the ride scooter. You are not going to go very fast but fast enough for most and you'll get to your destination in style. Or just cruise for fun. You are sure to turn a few heads at it's unique look ... show more

  • Not made by Hurley
Bought this scooter for my daughter as a Christmas present (2022), she has used it a couple months in Seattle and likes it. Last night she went over a bump in the bike lane and the handle assembly snapped off the scooter and she took a tumble. She sent my the attached picture. I contacted Hurley since my return window from Amazon closed January 31st. Hurley Custer service directed me to Joyride bike for any manufacturing issues. I called them and got voicemail. I’ll update when I get resolution. Update: contacted by joyridebike - they are sending a replacement and want the damaged scooter returned. ... show more

  • Love it
With a max of 18mph, it makes suburb and city cruising a lot of fun. It easily folds and easy to transport. It’s been a ton of fun to ride.

  • Great, stable, all-purpose scooter.
A great all-around scooter. Stable. Sturdy. Good lighting and brakes. Very easy to ride and you feel comfortable at it’s too speed of 18 mph. Acceleration is adequate to good. Not great. Battery life is good to great. It holds on for longer than the meter reads.

  • Not much power up hills at all
The design is great and looks good but the power is ver weak. It says it is rated for 265 lbs but I weigh 220 and it will not go up hill with me at all will only reach 14 mph with me on it. I tried both high and low mode and I would consider this a preteen scooter

  • Absolute junk
Stopped working before it was even riden (won’t power on), handlebar is at an angle when measured against the front tire (glad I didn’t ride it), the screws which hold the handlebars to the pole are cheap and don’t fit together well.

  • Major Disappointment
Was very much looking forward to using this scooter. However the scooter came dead on arrival and refuses to power on or charge. Working on returning it now.

  • Descent. Poor Support
I regret buying this. For under $300 it's descent and was fun to ride... till I had a problem with the tires. Within a couple months both my tires went flat and pumping them up didn't last long. I've been chasing support for months to try to get info on how to swap out the tire. They did send me 2 tubes but I can't get any instructions other than "search youtube". If it's so easy to search youtube why don't they send a link. Now it just sits in the garage with flat tires that I can't fix it. Also no bike shop will work on these, not sure why. I called many. That was another suggestion from support, but of course, no actual shop suggested that will actually service this scooter. ... show more
