  • Don't be fooled by the high reviews like I was...
Style: High-Back Task Chair
I'm very surprised by all of the glowing reviews for this chair. Granted, there are not many, but they are consistently high. Unfortunately, I have not had such a dreamy experience with this product. It took about 25 minutes from opening the box and taking inventory to having the chair fully assembled. The directions were very easy to read, the parts were obviously high quality, and it was a snap to put together by myself. That's where the fun ended, however. Other reviews mentioned that the seat was supportive, which is something I was looking for. However, it would seem that 'supportive' means 'hard as a brick' to many individuals. It's not thin, it's just VERY firm. I'm around 160lbs, so I don't have a lot of cushion on my body, and this seat was immediately the most uncomfortable one I've ever sat in. I've used many office chairs, so that's saying quite a bit. As mentioned by other individuals, the cushion cover is not solid fabric; it is a fabric mesh that has small holes in it. Regardless of how careful one is, particulates of myriad sorts will inevitably get into the actual seat cushion over time, which is obviously undesirable. That's just the cushion, however. The arms are very sturdy, and the height of them seems fair for keeping your shoulders rested by allowing your arms be low enough, but they are so wide apart as to be extremely impractical. For a larger and much, much wider person, they might be useful, but there are surely not many keyboard trays in existence that will allow the keyboard and mouse to be spread so far apart for someone utilizing both armrests simultaneously. The back seems supportive, but I cannot say how it will perform over time. It's a cloth-based material instead of an actual mesh, and it seemed to me that it became looser in the time that I spent with the chair. It does not raise and lower, so you're stuck at the height the manufacturer thinks you need. Overall, I'm fairly disgusted with this chair. The practicality of design is as horrible as the production quality is high, and this is truly a bewildering and disappointing combination. Unless you are shopping for a 'Big and Tall' type office chair, avoid this product at all costs. For over $200, you can definitely find a chair more adjustable, more comfortable, and more practical for a smaller individual. ... show more

  • Overall great chair for the price
Style: High-Back Task Chair
Overall great chair for the price. We enjoy them. We tried a few in this price range and ended up here. We're months in and loving them still. Update 12/18/2017: We've been using these chairs daily for months. We have four in our small office. These chairs are pretty darn awesome. We paid around $250 a pop which is partly why I gave them a 4 star. The price matched with material and lack of lumbar control make it a 4 star. But I just ordered another at $200 and am tempted to head into the 5 star territory. Pros: - Very comfortable - Can sit in all day and not feel any aches - Light enough to move around easily in - Mesh keeps you cool, no sweating, etc on hot days - They look very nice, professional - The back support feels very strong and not like you'll break the metal - No warping after months of use in any way - Arm rests are firm, upright, and not swaying Cons: - Mesh gets dirty. Eat a bagel and the crumbs will get stuck in the chairs mesh. Probably could be vacuumed out but unlike a solid piece of cloth or material, things get into the mesh. - Missing lumbar support or adjustments - Price is still a bit high for me Advice: buy the chair. <$250 it's one of the best on the market. You'll like that, unlike Pleather or other crappy material, this chair won't show serious signs of usage in the first year. I suspect these chairs will last far longer than most competitors in this price range. Update! 12/2018 Still using this chair daily. Still works like a charm. Arms slightly bending but hard to complain with the level of usage for 2+ years. ... show more

  • Finally a chair for tall people
Style: High-Back Task Chair
I am 6'2", 220#, 34" inside leg and at the chair maximum height off the floor, my feet just make light contact with it. Remember, the high back does not go up to your neck/head--it is about even with the top of my shoulders. Lumbar design of back is well made and comfortable. Also nice having a cushioned seat for comfort....albeit a bit FIRM... a pillow may be required. Arm rests are well designed and comfortable. Just wish they could be adjusted inward toward the seat by an inch or two, as they are positioned a bit wide. Instructions were very straight forward, and assembly tools were securely packaged. Nice knowing a company who puts common sense and effort into their products. My only regret is I did not splurge a bit more for one of Hon's more expensive models. Previously bought a chinese 'tall' knock off which was a p.o.s. Going to attempt to return that one. ... show more

  • Better than Herman Miller out of the box
Style: High-Back Task Chair
I’ve had a fancy, expensive Herman Miller chair before and this is more comfortable for me. I got this via a smashed box discount so keep an eye out for those, the chair is packed well so wasn’t damaged at all. I’ve been sitting on a dining room chair to work from home and finally replaced it with this - I almost cried it was so much more comfortable. It is definitely tall as others mention. I am a leggy 5’8” and at the lowest possible seat height it’s almost too tall for me. I can’t speak to how long it will last yet, but I got it on sale so cheap that I don’t care if it only lasts a few weeks. I’ll buy another after that. ... show more

  • HUGE CHAIR! My feet dangle. :-(
Style: High-Back Task Chair
I am an athletic voluptuous woman 5'5". I am average height and not petite. This chair is so huge that my arms would have to be 6" longer to reach armrests. What is worse, my legs just dangle like a little child. I could never use this for work. So disappointed to waste my time and don't know how I will ever get this back into the torn, beat up box. Don't buy this chair unless you are a very large frame man. There are no adjustments for anything other than seat height and armrest height and they come no where near to accommodating my frame. Ugh. ... show more
